How Do I Find a Good Seattle Hypnotherapist?

“How do I find a good Seattle Hypnotherapist?” I’m a Team Member representing the professions of hypnosis and NLP Neuro Linguistic Programming on a popular internet forum board. I’m often asked for advice on finding and choosing a hypnotist. Someone who’s “the real deal,” and not an unskilled fly by night.

Yes, the true, skilled, passionate “this is my life” successful hypnotists are out there. This is how you find them.  Word of mouth is great, but failing that, you’re going to be looking at the internet.

Focus on the focus.  It’s all comes down to a person in my profession’s focus and primary goal. Is it about marketing ploys and making money, or is about the joy of developing a skill set and making client successes? When you look at a person’s web presence, and/or meet them face to face, you’ll be able to notice the difference. I call it puff vs. passion.

Here’s a direct quote from a hypnotist visiting my forum board who said his goal was marketing himself for “truckloads of clients”: “I WANT MONEY AND LOTS OF IT. I WILL TRADE MY WIFE FOR MONEY. I WILL BETRAY GOD FOR MONEY. I WILL SELL MY KIDS. I HATE CLIENTS AND I DON’T CARE ABOUT ANY OF THEM. I WOULD EVEN GIVE MY MOTHER A PHOBIA AND CHARGE HER A “TRUCKLOAD OF MONEY” TO GET RID OF IT. I DON’T CARE.”

This attitude disturbs me greatly. Hypnosis is a helping profession, and people with such a money grubbing focus shouldn’t be in it.  It’s not about the “dough re mi” for me. It’s about doing something worthwhile, and making a difference in people’s lives. I figure that the financial rewards are a given, if I devote myself to the pursuit of excellence and helping people achieve their goals and their potential.

This guy quoted above:  I’m sure he’s hired a good SEO (search engine optimization) person to help him get ranked high on Google–because that’s what it’s about for him.  Or he’s paying for Google ads.

Here’s a tip:  Ignore those paid ads.  In my opinion, many times those listings at the top of the google pages which are highlighted as “paid ads” tell me the person is either brand new and/or not very good.  The real deal people rise in those listings as an “organic search” because of the substance and quality and CONTENT of their website.  My listing is organic.

Here are a few more clues to find a serious professional hypnotist vs. an unskilled hypnotist.

Certifications. I know it’s difficult for the lay person to know the difference between “printed this in my basement” certificates from newly created fake “professional orgs” vs. the real trainings that a professional would have from respected sources. Here’s a clue, the number and dates of certification. A dedicated professional keeps learning, and would have a variety of trainings under their belt. Studying a website, do your research on the hypnotist’s credentials.

Check out the organizations listed. How long have they been around and continuously active? Are they national? International? How many members, tens vs. thousands?  I’m a member of the NGH (National Guild of Hypnotists). We have been around since the 1950’s–it’s the oldest and most well respected professional organization for hypnotists in the US. If they are hyping an NLP certification, find out if it’s through Dr. Richard Bandler or John Grinder or Steve Andreas. Those are the originators of NLP. Other “schools” (some legitimate, some a joke) offer far lesser versions of this power. The real deal people have paid the training bucks and spent the time honing their craft. And continue to do so.

Testimonials. How many, and in what form? Do they ring true? Do they contain details? Real clients don’t sing praises in generics, they tell stories.

Does the hypnotist share their passion and their interest in hypnosis on their website through a “blog?”  Does it seem to be a real blog or a fake blog?  Does it have any original content, or just recycled stale articles written by somebody else that may or may not be on topic but have some keywords in them for the search engines?  Do they create it  themselves, or do they just pay some outsourcer $5 for silly entries like “What is a hug?”  How frequently do they post?  A blog (like mine here) is another indicator of passion.  I LOVE hypnosis, I LOVE my blog, and I love writing and sharing my passion with you.

More things to examine to find the perfect Seattle hypnotist.  How long has a hypnotist been in business.  If you can’t find any history, that’s a red flag.

Are they registered with Washington State Dept. of Health as a professional hypnotherapist?  To do business in our state, that’s a legal requirement.

Are they an Accredited Business with the Better Business Bureau?  This shows a dedication and commitment and adherence to ethical business practices.  If they are with the BBB, what is their ranking?  Mindworks Hypnosis & NLP is an accredited business with the BBB, with an “A” ranking.

In any profession from auto mechanic to teacher to doctor to hypnotherapist, there are the “real deal” professionals and the also-rans.  “How do I find a good Seattle Hypnotherapist?”  Here’s one last tidbit to help you.  TRUST YOUR UNCONSCIOUS MIND.  I recommend meeting your prospective hypnotist face to face.  Intelligence shines.  Passion shines.  Trust your gut as to whether or not this person can help you.  If anything feels “off,” run for the door.

Hypnosis works.  Best in the hands of a skilled and passionate and professional practitioner.  They’re out there.  Me, for example.  My husband, Michael, for another.  Call us and meet us, check out our credentials, judge for yourself, and find the best hypnotherapists in the Seattle area.

Warm Regards,
Connie

Hi, Hypnosis Friends!  Here is a video testimonial.   18 year old Alana of Seattle, Washington came in for stress relief and positive changes.  She found them.  Now, she’s feeling different, more resourceful.

She is going back to school happier!  Confident.  Successful.  More “put together.”  That’s what hypnosis can do for you!

Young people make the BEST hypnotic subjects.  Alana is beautiful (that’s obvious), and now her mind is on board to create a beautiful life.  Thank you, Alana, for sharing your success with us.

The Mad Hatter was On to Something!

Expand the possibilities, with Mindworks Hypnosis.

Hi, Hypno-Friends!

The other day I was re-reading parts of Alice in Wonderland, for pleasure.  Lewis Carroll was a master of wordplay, which I enjoy.  He was also a wise man.

I read this:

Alice:  This is Impossible
Mad Hatter:  Only if you believe it is.

Absolutely, yes.  What we believe to be true is or becomes true for us.  This is a large piece of what I do with clients — we find new, better, more useful truths, and create and install them in the mind.  The unconscious mind, with a truth in place, gives your life direction to achieving that, with nudges, pushes, noticing of opportunities, and forward momentum.

For example:  if a person believes that they can’t lose weight–they’re quite likely to achieve precisely that–NOT losing weight.  If a person believes they are “not good enough,” they will engage in unconscious self sabotage to make sure they don’t succeed.  If a person believes “nicotine is an addiction,” that makes it harder to quit smoking.  Beliefs may be useful.  “I can do it! This is easy!”  Or they may not:  “I’m lazy.”  If there’s some belief in your life which should NOT be true, it can absolutely be changed.  Let me help you to change it.  If there’s something which should be more true, let’s do that.  It’s all moveable furniture.

Here’s to new ways of thinking in your life becoming the new realities of your life!

Warm Regards,
Connie

Problems: A Vanishing Act

Find your confidence with hypnosis & NLP.

Hi, Hypno-Friends!

Here is another story.  🙂  A client came in to enhance her business success.  Her problem?  A feeling of not being “good enough” or “smart enough” — in a nutshell, a lack of confidence.   She found herself feeling anxious and unable to speak up during business meetings–even when she had valuable things to say.

I found out what she wanted instead.  We began the work.  Suddenly, she burst out angrily at me:

“Why are you laughing?  You’re trivializing my problem.”

I answered her:  “That’s right.  I am.  And so will you.  It IS trivial.  Ridiculous, in fact.”

That’s what we want to create!  A “problem” so small and trivial that you can’t even see it or experience it.  When she feels more confident and “good enough,” in fact, there is no problem.  It dissolves.

What she didn’t yet realize is that the work was already unfolding and being successful…we were working on confidence building.  The presenting problem:  she was unable to speak her mind.  Yet, suddenly, here she was speaking her mind, to me.  Loud and clear.   Yay!

I’m remembering an episode of Star Trek.  (I LOVED that show.)  In it there was an alien creature which fed on negative emotion.  The more angry and violent negative emotions it could generate in the people around it, the stronger it got.  When Kirk & Spock et. al. started laughing (with the help of Dr. McCoy and his “laughing gas”) well the monster weakened and decided to leave.

Here’s what clients begin to understand via my work with them:  A problem is not REAL.  It is conjured in the mind and body.  It is merely a frame of mind, a way of thinking.   And that is very, very subject to change.  A problem can be reframed  to the point it is un-conjured.  That’s what we do in my office.

When the woman left, she commented that her breathing felt easier.  We tested her new responses.  She thought the previously “anxious-making” thoughts, and anxiety was a no-show.  Her body language had changed, as well.  She was speaking louder and sitting taller.  Her eye contact was more direct.  I notice these things.  Confidence seeds sprouting all over.    I guess it really was a trivial non-problem after all, wasn’t it?

Warm Regards,
Connie

Seattle’s Mindworks Hypnosis Ends Needle Phobia – Client Testimonial

End your needle fear with Mindworks Hypnosis.

Hi, Hypnosis Friends!

Does hypnosis work?  Yes!  Here’s more evidence.  Lucy C. of Seattle, WA used to have a paralyzing fear of needles and innoculations.  To the point of “hyperventillation” and needing to be restrained or medicated when visiting a doctor’s office.  She worked with me, and here’s her report:

“Hi Connie,

I have been waiting until I have needed to do something needle related so I could let you know how it went. Since working with you I noticed I have not been as nervous when thinking or talking about needles, to the point where my husband was really “freaked out” the day I came from your office because he was shocked at my complete turnaround. I even challenged him to try to get me to react to anything needle related and he was unsuccessful.

Today was the ultimate test. I had a doctor’s appointment and they asked if I wanted the TDAP shot.  Normally I decline this immediately, but today I thought let’s give it a shot, so I did. I used your technique that will help bring the calm feeling back. The fact that I went through with it shows that the hypnosis was successful! This was the first time in my life I have voluntarily had a shot without hyperventilating or without being restrained or medicated.

Thank you so much for everything, you have opened up many doors in my life
that I would not have had with my needle phobia. I have told everyone that
knows about my needle fear about you and have recommended they call you if
they need to work on anything!

Thanks again! — Lucy”

Michael laughed when he read this.  He noticed her language, her “unconscious pop” (that’s hypnosis jargon for revealing words showing what’s truly going on inside the unconscious mind) of saying she wanted to “give it a shot.”  Problem gone!  Yay, Lucy.  Good job.

I love this work, and I love success stories like Lucy.  Who’s next?  🙂

Warm Regards,
Connie

John CRUSHED the Tobacco Habit – with Mindworks Hypnosis & NLP.

Stop Smoking with Seattle's Best Hypnotherapists - Mindworks Hypnosis.
John M. of Seattle crushed the smoking habit!

Hi, Hypno-Friends!

Another story.  John came into my office the other day.  He was READY to quit smoking.  I mean, really ready.  He wanted to.  For some reason, he just couldn’t.  Until he could.  Hypnosis is a tool to sharpen focus, motivation, and bring resourcefulness.  TO ANYTHING!  It brought John the resourcefulness to quit smoking.

We had a Neuro Linguistic Hypnotherapy session.  It went fantastically well.  Now:  John is done with cigarettes.  He was so sure, he pulled out his last pack of cigarettes and gave them to me.  (I stick them in my desk and use them for testing purposes.)  Then he said:  “Wait.  No.  I want to CRUSH them.  I want to take the pack in my hand and I want to crush it.”  I gave them back, and he did.  Squeeze/crush that pack into oblivion.  Then he tossed it into the trash can.  We both photographed the event!  🙂

Fini!  He’s done with smoking and cigarettes.  Isn’t that like a breath of fresh air?  I like John and I’m so happy for him.  Here’s to his continuing power.  He didn’t even know that he had this massive resourcefulness inside himself to quit smoking instantly, I wonder what other wonderful things he can accomplish in his life?  That he hasn’t discovered?  Yet.

Hypnosis has gotten such a bum rap in the world, via ridiculous movies and “Hollyweird” presenting it so wrongly.  I’m glad that’s changing.  One life success at a time.  Yay, John!

Warm Regards,
Connie

What is the Unconscious Mind?

Hi, Hypno-Friends!

Your conscious mind is your thinking mind, your awareness of the moment.  It’s reason.  It’s rationality.  It’s logic.  We love our conscious minds, and in our culture we worship our conscious minds.  If only I could think clearly enough through a problem, that would change everything.  WRONG.  Thinking is only about 2% of your brain power.  It’s limited!

You’ve got more going on for you than you know!  You’ve got an unconscious mind.  That’s 98% of your brain function.  It takes in billions of pieces of information from your environment in any given moment, and processes it all for you.  (Your conscious mind can only handle about 7-9 pieces of information in any given moment.)  It’s running your body, breathing, blood flow, healing, growth, digestion, etc.  It’s storing your life learning– understanding language and the ability to speak (you don’t think about the mechanics of speech once you’ve learned how), skills such as walking (you had to learn this), riding a bike, driving a car, typing.  These and myriads more processes and skills become automatic and outside of conscious thought — moving into the realm of unconscious competence.

Your unconsious mind is power.  It’s your intution.  Your problem solving creativity.  It’s resourceful, beyond thought.  It’s limit-less!  Hypnosis is the act of tapping into your unconscious mind.  Hypnotherapy is directing that power to the attainment of specific goals.

Here in this video, which is also on my main web page, I explain this power differential.  Watch!  🙂

Warm Regards,
Connie

Limiting Beliefs – Be Gone!

Unleash your amazing, with hypnosis.

“You is amazing!”  — says Lucky Larry, an animated character of my acquaintance.  He waves his arms, a beautiful chorus sings behind his words, and he congratulates the winner:  “YOU is Amayyyyzing!”  Hey, I take wisdom anywhere I find it, even if it’s grammatically incorrect.  Today I told a client about Larry and his words:  “You is amazing!”  Yes, she is.

Client had a limiting (and ridiculous) belief:  “I’m not smart enough.”  Sound familiar to any of you out there?  Well, with Neuro Linguistic Hypnosis processes, we healed her of that notion, past present & future.  Ripped every shred of it out of her life.  She also had held a secret fear of future dementia, which runs in her family.  Goodbye to that idea.  In our work, we innoculated her brain against future dementia, as well.

Reconnecting someone to their own brilliance and power.  Safeguarding a brain!  Sounds like a worthy way to spend a rainy Saturday afternoon.

“Limiting beliefs.”  That’s hypnosis jargon for any thought, idea, sensation which makes a person feel bad and holds them back from their goals.  “I’m not smart enough.”  “I’m not good enough.”  “I can’t do it.”  “It’s too difficult.”  “I’m not worthy.”  Limiting beliefs suck.  If you’d like yours to be removed and replaced with more useful beliefs, we can do that!

I love my work.

It’s Your Power – Hypnosis!

There was an ice cream parlor of my childhood.  It was called “Farrell’s.”  Their song, their jingle which I still remember: “Farrell’s is fabulous fun for everyone.”  Well, I’m borrowing that tune.  Hypnosis is fabulous fun for everyone!  Yes, it is!  🙂  It’s pleasant.  And it’s useful.  It’s a method to move you into your power.

All the positive changes that happen in hypnosis.  Quitting smoking, losing weight, ending fear, and etc.  That’s your power, not the hypnotist’s power.  I help you find your power and change your thinking, feeling, doing.  That changes everything!

When you find your power, that’s like moving from a cramped basement studio apartment into a palatial penthouse suite.  Or a mansion.  It’s bigger, and nicer.   More fun!  Go for it!

Happy Summer, From Mindworks Hypnosis!

It’s Summertime for Hypnosis!

Hi, Hypno-Friends!

I love the changing of the seasons.  They’re all good.  But summer, well, summer is special.

Warmth.  Essense of carefree (a remnant from childhood, perhaps), Rainier cherries, watermelon, long days, sunshine, beaches, camping, play.  Joy.  That’s summer.

Today is the first day of summer.  My calendar says so!  🙂  Enjoy yours!

I like demarcations!  Places where one thing ends and another begins. You have now left King County and are entering Snohomish County.  You have now graduated from sophomore to junior in college.  You have now left springtime and it’s “officially” summer. Lots of these change-markings are arbitrary.

You know what’s really cool?  We also get to set our own demarcations!  Today is….  and fill in the blank with the newness of your choice.  I help people move in this way.  We’ve moving!  Not with boxes and vans, but into new behaviors and identities.  Yesterday, I helped some people to become nonsmokers.  Smoking ends, healthy begins.  GREAT demarcation.

Happy summer, and here’s to creating some of your own “official” and happy changes.

Warm Regards,
Connie

Presenting Well Makes All the Difference

She Got the Job – with the help of Seattle’s Mindworks Hypnosis

I received a nice email report from client, Tracy F. of Seattle.  We had a session of Neuro Linguistic Hypnotherapy to prepare her for an important job interview.  She had been having fear, and anxiety around it.  The email read:

“Connie, I wanted to let you know, after being hypnotized for a calmer and more relaxed state for the job interview, I wanted you to know that I GOT THE JOB!!  I appreciate all your help, it was a remarkable difference!!! Hurray!!!  Thank you!”  — Tracy F, Seattle, WA

Yay, Tracy.  🙂  She solidified her position as “best” by presenting herself well.

In this job market, every little bit helps.  Do you have an interview or business presentation coming up?  If you would like an advantage called “CONFIDENCE” or “CALM” or both… well, let me help you.  It’s what I do.

When Doubt is Good – Mindworks Hypnosis

You know what the biggest challenge in my work is? It’s not helping people with nicotine or alcohol or sex “addiction,” or genetic obesity” or a prevailing sense of anxiety, or “chronic” insomnia, or twitching or nail biting, or any number of problems which SEEM insurmountable.

It’s DOUBT. It’s a mindset that keeps problems in place. It’s the  “I can’t.”

Why do I slather this blog and my websites with client testimonials of success? It’s to challenge doubt.

However, doubt doesn’t have to be a negative thing. What if we could flip doubt on its head and begin to doubt the problem? Doubt the staying power of the problem. Doubt the potency of the problem. Doubt your own mental limitations on having the life you want. When you change your thinking in this way, you change everything.

Hypnosis helps you adopt useful beliefs. Like “I can! And it’s easy.”  What you believe becomes true.

I successfully install the RIGHT doubt, the one that moves you to success. If you would like to stop doubting yourself and your capabilities and begin to doubt the problems in your life, and thus end them, hypnosis works!

Warm Regards,
Connie

The Hypnotic Spread — Success, that is!

Walt Disney was a hypnotist?

Hi, Hypno-Friends!

“Life has improved drastically.”  One of the interesting things about hypnosis and Neuro Linguistic Programming is their power to “generalize” success into several areas of life simultaneously.  This often happens.  A positive change does not happen inside a vacuum, it happens inside a life, and life is movement and connections, with fingers which reach and intertwine and grow.

One healthy change leads to more healthy changes.  🙂  Once your mind gets rolling in that way (the purpose of what I do–focusing your mind on success), well, the desired changes happen quickly.  And spread more success.  The testimonial below is from a woman who got more than she bargained for when she came in for hypnosis.

Here is Kelli Zielinksi’s report of the dramatic changes she’s noticing in her life after a few sessions of Neuro Linguistic Hypnotherapy:

“Hi Connie, I’m doing fabulously! Working with you has absolutely changed my life, here’s some things I’ve noticed:

-Much more relaxed and focused; I’m able to deal with situations better than before when I get stressed, and am able to get into a state of calm when I need to.  My working life has improved drastically

-I’m sleeping properly!  I love that I sleep so much better; not only am I off the medication I used to have to take almost  nightly to help me sleep, I also find that the sleep I get is a lot deeper.

-Dropped two pant sizes

-Eating appropriate portions

-Drinking more water

-Increased motivation to exercise

I’ve lost weight, but the best part is not worrying so much about the weight. Instead, I’m focusing on healthy habits, and the rest is just working itself out. I feel like I’m in control and have the right priorities, rather than worrying so much about comparing myself to others. It’s a great feeling!

-Kelli”

Way to go, Kelli!  Thank you for sharing your success and allowing me to share it with the world here on my blog and website.  Yes, hypnosis works.  It has an effect.  It changes lives for the better.  It’s amazing.  It’s power.  Not the hypnotist’s power, it’s the client’s mind that has the power.  Kelli did this, amazingly well.  Yay, Kelli!

With the right tools, success is easy.  Find yours.

Warm Regards,
Connie

What is NLP? It’s Hypnosis on Steroids.

Does hypnosis work?  Does NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) work?  Absolutely, Yes!!  The evidence mounts.  Here is a video testimonial from Julia of Seattle, filmed today at the Mindworks Hypnosis offices.  Julia is another impressed client, who is marveling at the “profound differences in her life” via a process that feels so “comfortable.”  Yes, that’s NLP and hypnosis done well.  Julia had a single Neuro Linguistic Hypnotherapy session prior to this report.

You can find out for yourself.  Call us!  Connie & Michael (425) 564-8608.  Here comes my favorite expression again!!  🙂  “The proof is in the pudding, and you and your success is the pudding.”  Julia is enjoying hers.

The Secret to Successful Slender – Mindworks Hypnosis

Feel Great and Lose Weight!

Hi, Hypno-Friends!

When you reach your ideal weight, what will be different in your life? My clients often respond to this question with feelings. “I’ll feel happy. I’ll feel healthy, more energy. Proud of myself. Accomplished. Sexy. I’ll feel super fantastic. I’ll feel in control of my life.” Yay!! Terrific. Those are all wonderful feelings.

So, shall I share with you the secret to successful weight loss? I’ve lived it, and so are my clients. It’s why I’ve been named “Best of Bellevue” two years running for Weight Loss and Control Programs. OK, you twisted my arm. 🙂 My clients, and people in general believe that you FIRST have to achieve the goal to feel the satisfaction and other good feelings of achieving the goal. Wrong!

Here’s the secret. The simplest weight loss tip of all: Feel good first! Then your body changes.

So simple. So elegant. So powerful. You adopt the good feelings that the successful completion of your goal will bring you, and you enjoy those good feeling in the now. That changes everything. When you change how you feel, you change how you think, and you change your behaviors. All these positive, good-feeling changes lead to changes in habits, and ultimately changes in the size, and shape of your body.

If you’re feeling energetic, sexy, and healthy, do you want that cupcake? The cupcake doesn’t bring you happy. You’re already happy. Goodbye, emotional eating (a huge problem for a majority of people with weight issues).

My teacher, Dr. Richard Bandler, put it succinctly. “Good feelings. Good decisions. Bad feelings. Bad decisions.” That is so right on! So, what I do with weight loss clients is attach them to the good feelings now. Their own healthy decisions roll from there.

Here’s where hypnosis and Neuro Linguistic Programming (a conversational hypnosis) are powerful helpers. These are methodologies which make it so quick and easy to create useful states of mind and body at will. Emotional states or feelings such as happy, healthy, accomplishment, control. We create them, and we attach them to situations where they become useful. That’s what I do. I custom design and blend new appropriate feelings the way you might have a shade of paint for your living room custom blended. I create shades of emotion that are desirable and useful. And then I paint your life with them.

So, yes, this works for weight loss. And so much more. Say you have an unwanted state of mind and body called fear. A phobia. If the phobia was gone how would you be feeling? Calm, safe, clear minded, and free. Ok. Voila. We create calm, safe, clear minded, and free. And using various creative processes we attach that to the context which used to contain fear. Fear evaporates.

Hypnosis is good stuff. As always, you can learn more about these tools at http://www.mindworkshypnosis.net.

Warm Regards,
Connie

My Seattle Hypnotherapy Clients Say It, Again & Again

Hypnosis is Amazing!

Chalk up another win, two more non-smokers.  K and G (a married couple) decided to quit smoking together.  Fantastic.  They came to Mindworks for hypnosis and Neuro Linguistic Programming services.  More fantastic.  They each had a single personalized private session.

I contacted them a few weeks later via email to hear how they’re doing.  Here’s the report, which K sent to me:

“G and I are (DRUM ROLL!!)  NON SMOKERS!!!  I have given out your cards and passed the website onto many friends and all my doctors as well.”

Yay, K & G!  Terrific!!  I see this success every day of the week so it has ceased to amaze me.  But that word does figure prominently in the client testimonials I receive.  “Amazing.”  Yes, these tools are amazing.  But there’s a caveat.  Success comes from hypnotherapy skillfully wielded.

Buying hypnosis services is not like buying a can of peas.  Well, they sell it here and they sell it over there.  It’s all the same thing, so which is cheaper?  That’s not a useful mindset when purchasing hypnosis—because the “it’s all the same” notion is false, false, false.   Guiding a person “into” hypnosis is easy.  It’s what you do and say after that which facillitates change.  Hypnotherapy is a professional service, based on the creativity, native intelligence, passion, trainings, skill set, and life experience of the practitioner.   It’s an ART.

I love my art.  And I’m damn good at it.  That’s why my clients are continuously amazed.  They had no idea of the power and potency of hypnosis.  That’s because what I offer is a higher level of skill, passion and artistry and that makes me more effective than other hypnotists down the block.

As one of my mentors told me, if it’s true, it’s not bragging.

If you’d like some amazing success and positive changes in your life, it’s easy.  Call!  (425) 564-8608.

Video Testimonial of Hypnosis Success – She Released Negative Emotions

Release Negative Emotions with Hypnosis.

Hi, Hypno-Friends!

I get a lot of positive feedback from the work I do.  Testimonials of transformation and success!  Often it’s verbal, and also written in email follow up reports.  Those written letters and words are the source of the testimonial columns on my website.

Some of my happy clients, due to the sensitive and personal nature of the work I do, won’t allow me to share their success publicly in any form.  That’s OK.  Sometimes they’ll give me permission to use their words, however we label the report “anonymous” or only use first name, or initials.  That’s OK, too.  They’re still allowing me to share their success!  I love that!

However, some people take it to the next level.  Sometimes, people are so pleased (and amazed) that they are willing to share their names, faces, and words in support of the success of Neuro Linguistic Hypnotherapy and Mindworks and document it with a video.

Here’s one of those happy clients.  Nicole MacNeil of Olympia, Washington, released negative emotion which had been in her for “a year and a half” in a single session.  Hypnosis works.  Nichole shares her experience below.

If you’d like to remove negative emotions, it’s easier than you think.

Warm Regards,
Connie

Talk to the Brain about what you Really Want

Disbelieve the negative suggestions fed to you every day.  I’m going to share a personal story today.  🙂  Medical stuff.  I had a cut on my “great toe” (big toe).  It got infected.  Not so great!!

I went to the doctor to check it out.  Man, that woman bombarded me with negative suggestions.  I have an ear for limiting beliefs and negative suggestions.  That’s my work.  This Doctor spewed one negative, damaging idea after the next.  Such as:  It may never heal.  Toes heal very slowly, if at all.  People take antibiotics and it still doesn’t heal.  We may need surgery to remove the toenail.  Your toe considers your toenail a foreign object.  She also suggested to me that the current state should be painful when I told her it wasn’t.

WOW!!  I’m listening to her, sitting in the examination room being bombarded with essentially a message called:  it won’t heal.  Is that a good message to hear from a doctor?  Hell, no.  If I took that on board, unconsciously, and believed it, then no, it wouldn’t heal.  Luckily,  I blocked her suggestions and fed in my own.

Of course it will heal.  And perfectly.  I used self hypnosis to focus my mind on healing that toe.  Guess what, a week later, and it’s perfectly healed.  And, of course the antibiotics helped!  (Contrary to the messages that Doc was TRYING — and failing — to feed me that even those wouldn’t help.).

Really, when I think about Doctors and their negative suggestions (telling your mind what to do and what SHOULD happen in a way that leads to a bad outcome) it’s frightening.   On the extreme end:  you have xx months/years to live.  If your mind takes that on board, you will die on schedule.  If there are such a thing as “evil hypnotists,” that’s doctors who unknowingly spew messages of illness, doom, gloom, dismemberment, and death.

Your body creates what you believe to be true.

Hypnosis is a way to “talk to the brain” and instruct it in what you really want.  I wanted a healthy toe.  I’ve got one.  Time to go for a walk.

Warm Regards,
Connie

Kick the Smoking Habit! With Mindworks Hypnosis for Smoking Cessation!

Hello!

A friend of mine created this video for me.  I love it!  He’s punching and kicking the heck out of that bag.  If there’s something, some old habit you’d like to kick out of your life (SMOKING, for example), well, it’s easier than that and only takes one muscle.  Your brain muscle.  If you only knew how strong that is.

Hypnosis works for smoking cessation.  I know it does.  I have a drawer full of cigarettes from clients who quit smoking.  I use them for testing purposes.  When you’re done with a session or sessions with Seattle’s best hypnosis (us), I offer you cigarettes.  And guess, what?  You don’t want them.

Learn to Relaaaaax, with Mindworks Hypnosis

Hello, Hypnosis Friends!

Kickin’ back!  Relaxation.  Calm.  Enjoyment.  This is a good thing.  It’s good for the body to take a break from stress.  Hypnosis is the ultimate relaxation maker.

Stress is a killer, we all know that.  High blood pressure, ulcers, twitching, sleep issues, it can manifest in a number of ways.  Stress also leads to unwanted habits…like overeating, like smoking.  Some degree of stress is essential, helps you move through the world and be productive.  Too much stress, immobilizing.  Forgetaboutit.

And you can.  Hypnosis and NLP are amazing tools for stress-busting.  What would it be like if you had an “anchor” for calm?   An instant trigger?   If you could, by thinking a thought, or creating an image in your mind, or touching a place on your hand–notice an immediate and deep calm enter your body?  What if you could easily overwhelm and transform stress out of your body?   Would that be of interest to you?

Stress and calm/relaxed don’t live together.  They’re mutually exclusive.  Your body and mind can’t do both at the same time.  When there is a choice available, they choose calm.  Add a new choice!

I successfully create these relaxation triggers for people every day.  What would it be like to take control of your emotions and feel calm and relaxed anytime you want to?  Work would be a lot easier, wouldn’t it?  Dealing with that boss-from-hell and that annoying coworker would be easier, wouldn’t it?  Seattle traffic would be a lot easier to bear, wouldn’t it?  Relationships would improve, wouldn’t they?  When family members try to push your buttons, you push your own.  Ahhhhhhhh!  Calm flows.  Stress related habits would vanish, wouldn’t they?

Learn more here:  http://www.seattlehypnosisforstress.com/   I’d love to help you with this!  Call me:  (425) 564-8608.

Warm Regards,
Connie

Feel More Alive – With Seattle’s Best Hypnosis – Mindworks Hypnosis

This video reminds me of my client yesterday.  She came in for a second session on anxiety release and reported to me her results from session one:  “I feel more alive.  I’m waking up each morning, feeling motivated.  I’m actually getting things done.”  This lady had a single Neuro Linguistic Hypnotherapy session with me a couple weeks ago, and already the people around her are commenting on how strikingly more “happy” she is.

That’s what hypnosis will do for you!  Skilled hypnosis, I mean.  My tool kit is full of true NLP expertise, and that leads to happy.

“Depression” and “Anxiety” are states of mind/body that can be altered.  Quicker than you can imagine. And you don’t need a prescription to do that.  My client told me she had cut her anxiety medication wayyyyy down (after discussing it with her medical professional, of course), on the road to eliminating it entirely.

Yay!

Enjoy this cute video.

Warm Regards,
Connie

Fear of Public Speaking – A Fear Greater than Death – Or…Learn to Reach for that Microphone Like it was a Long Lost Lover

End fear of public speaking with Mindworks Hypnosis

I help people with all kinds of apprehensions and fears and phobias.  Off-the-wall fears as well as common ones.  I’ve helped people with every fear under the sun.  The most common one?  Fear of public speaking.  It ranks right up there with the fear of death.

This fear can manifest in a number of ways:  intense anxiety prior to, or simply at the thought of having to verbally communicate with any group, avoidance of events which focus the group’s attention on the individual, physical distress, nausea, feelings of panic, and so forth.

It doesn’t have to be this way.  Hypnosis works for ending your fear of public speaking.  NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) works for ending your fear of public speaking.  I utilize both methodologies, melding them into a powerhouse kit and kaboodle of change.  Here is a client testimonial I have received after our work on this issue:

“Amazing progress! I gave a presentation 2 weeks ago, and wasn’t nervous …immediately felt a wave of calm come over me. I presented well and the audience and other speaker responded well to me, so I know it was successful.!” –Beth, Bellevue, WA

For Beth, it was a matter of business necessity and success.  If public speaking and presenting is on your job description and you currently suffer from fear, I can help you end that fear and present well.  REALLY well.  Comfortably.  Confidently.  Articulately.  Easily.  And have FUN doing so.

As always, I do offer a free consult to explain more about the tools I use and my “gameplan” of client-centered Neuro Linguistic Hypnotherapy.  Call me if you’d like to grab that microphone like it was a long lost lover and feel absolutely comfortable with public speaking.  (425) 564-8608.  Mindworks Hypnosis & NLP.

Warm Regards,
Connie

Fear of Germs and Fear of Vomit Vanish with Mindworks Hypnosis of Seattle.

End fear with Seattle’s most skilled Hypnosis & NLP – Mindworks Hypnosis

Hi, Guys!

I’ve been working with children lately.  It’s good to fix a problem early in life, rather than suffer for decades.  I wish I had known about NLP® in my early life, it would have spared me decades of fear.  I had arachnophobia.  Fear of Spiders.  Until I didn’t.  NLP® fixed that problem in my life six years ago.

Here’s a report from the mom of an 11 year old girl who had obsessive fear and panic around vomit and germs.  I worked with the girl recently.

“Hi Connie, Today I went to pick her up at school and she was all smiles.  She said that a friend of hers threw up and she was ok. She touched the “magic spot” on her hand and that completely calmed her down. She said that she was more worried for her friend than for herself.  This is a big milestone for her and you can see it just by looking at her today: pure happiness.  Thanks again.”  F.T.,  Bellevue, WA.

Yay!  That’s what I like to hear.  “Pure happiness.”

By the way, the “magic spot” is an NLP® anchor we created and set for her, so that the girl can feel how she wants to feel instead of fear.  Children love magic buttons.  I have a few myself.  🙂

What are you or your loved ones afraid of?  Choose something else.  Called “not fear.”  With a suitably skilled NLP® person, guess what?  It’s easy.  Michael and I are Licensed Trainers of NLP®.

You can end fear now.  Call for your free consultation to learn more:  (425) 564-8608.  http://www.seattlehypnosisforphobias.com

Banish Negative Thinking with Hypnosis & NLP

Hi, Hypno-Friends!

Have you ever had a thought in your mind, and it wouldn’t leave? A negative, nagging type thought? A worry? Something that keeps looping and replaying in your mind, and creates a bad feeling? I have, in the past. We all have. Sometimes it impacts your sleep, sometimes it impacts your health. It’s absolutely distracting, from what really needs attention in your life! If that type of thinking is getting out of hand in you, there’s help. Imagine that! It’s hypnosis & NLP.  Neuro Linguistic Programming ™.

When these tools are skillfully manned (or wo-manned as the case may be) they can change your thinking and feeling and state of being quicker than anything on the planet. If you’re tired of feeling bad, change it! Elizabeth, from Kirkland, did. She was kind enough today to share a few thoughts about her “fascinating” success after a single session of Neuro Linguistic Hypnotherapy.  Watch!

As she says, “It’s a very, very happy change.”

If you’re ready to up the quotient of happy in your life, call me and Michael.  We have the tools.  And we know how to use them.  You’re not going to find Licensed Trainers of NLP ™ like me and Michael anywhere else around these parts, there are only approx. 38 of us in the entirety of the US.  I’ve been calling myself “the best in Seattle.”  I think I need to upgrade that.  We’re “the best in the Northwest.”

Goodbye Anxiety with Seattle’s Best Hypnotherapy and NLP

Mindworks Hypnosis & NLP – The Road to Happiness.

I received another wonderful testimonial today.  (They keep a-comin’!)  Steve Rozday of Redmond, Washington wrote:

“Hat’s off to Connie!  When I arrived for help I was suffering from high levels of anxiety.  After working with Connie my anxiety is gone, my sense of perspective is back and I am experiencing enjoyment where there was none before.  Thanks, Connie!”

Now, to be clear:  “anxiety” may be a medical diagnosis, and I’m not medical.  It just turns out that when I help people to “feel better” in a variety of ways using Neuro Linguistic Hypnotherapy, they respond differently in the world and inside their own bodies, and that so-called problem isn’t there any more.  That means a healthier, longer life and an improved quality of life.

Yay, to Steve, who has let go of anxious and has found joy again.

Warm Regards,
Connie

It’s “Act Happy Week!” – The Chemistry of Success

Get happy with hypnosis and NLP

Hi, Hypno-Friends!

My calendar of events tells me it’s “Act Happy Week” beginning on March 19th.  Yay!  I’m ready!  I’m celebrating!!  Big time!  Are you?

I’ll tell you why I think you should participate in this as well.  When you choose to “act happy,” or “pretend” to be happy, you unleash all kinds of good chemicals in your body.  Pretty soon you’re not acting, you’re feeling and being happy.  Happy is good.  Happy leads a person into all manner of success making, improving health, relationships, even cognitive function, wealth.

Happy is the chemistry of success!   We got endorphins, we got oxytocins.  We got dopamine.  I don’t know what all.  I don’t need to know.  I can feel it and it’s good!

This is no stretch for me.  I’m happy pretty much all year long.  For those of you who have found happiness to be difficult, start now, with “Act Happy Week!”  Practice.  Smile, dance, laugh, and begin to feel good.

Yes, I’m extremely good at happy.  Why?  I’m a Licensed Trainer of NLP.  NLP is a methodology that offers shortcuts to creating new feelings in your body at will.  You can pump up your happy and hold onto it where it’s useful for your success.  Any time of year.  Why not?

Warm Regards,
Connie

The Snowball Effect – Positive Changes Grow with Mindworks Hypnosis

Hi, Hypno-Friends!

“My life has improved across the board!”  Michael has received a wonderful testimonial of his clinical changework utilizing Neuro Linguistic Programming.  Watch this video.  It’s longer than most, because Margot here has a LOT to say about how her life is noticeably improving.

Michael worked with this lady, and helped her with a fear of travel, and also turned “boring moments” of her life into excitement.  Boring is an attitude, a state of mind.  Change your mind and you change your life.  Michael helped her to recognize life as an exciting adventure.  And it is, for her, more and more.  Listen!  Watch!

Margot has noticed improvements in public speaking, comfort, teaching, socializing, work, travel.  Life is fun (and exciting) again.  Suddenly, adventures materialize to meet the expectations — life has a way of doing that!!  Margot here is more open to opportunities, now she NOTICES them, and that gives her more.  Nudges towards adventure.  She’s been acting on them.  Yay, Margot!

When you make positive changes in your life, many things are touched and improve as well.  NLP is a powerhouse avenue to positive changes.  It’s been described as “hypnosis on steroids.”  Yes, it is.  Look at this lady’s life transformation–spoken in her own words, after a few minutes of changework with Michael.

I have a friend who says:  “If it’s true, it ain’t bragging.”  I’m not bragging when I say Michael and I are GOOD at what we do.  Very, very good.

Michael is also available (as am I) for client sessions.  Call us:  (425) 564-8608 and discover the most effective hypnotherapy in the Seattle area and beyond.  No brag.  Just fact.  🙂  Ask Margot.

Warm Regards,
Connie

Feel Great and Lose Weight – A Video Testimonial of Success for Connie & Mindworks Hypnosis

Hi, Hypno-Friends!

The printed word is nice.  But a face, and joy…beaming with happy, well that’s an intangible that words may or may not convey adequately.  I have dozens upon dozens of written testimonials on my websites.  Here’s a video testimonial.  Stacy Lenny of Seattle, Washington, is happy.  Why?  She’s changing her life.  And her body.

“I feel like a whole new person!” She says.  Today was her third session with me, covering 2+ weeks on the calendar.  How’s that for quick life change?  She’s lost 5 pounds so far.  That’s significant.  But more significant than that is her new inner state of mind and body that is now propelling her into healthy.  It’s just a matter of time for the body changes.  The “battle” is actually already won.  We’ll get another video from her when her body has reshaped itself as well.

Here’s the description on the Youtube video:

Weight Loss client, Stacy Lenny, shares her happy & success from Neuro Linguistic Hypnotherapy with Mindworks Hypnosis & NLP @ http://www.mindworkshypnosis.net/.  She’s lost 5 pounds so far, however the biggest changes are how she feels and the new healthy habits forming.  Goodbye sugar and donuts and cookies.  Hello healthy eating.  Hello motivation to exercise.   Hello feeling good, about herself!!  You change the mind, and the thinking/feeling, and behaviors change, and the body shape and size follows.  Like Stacy, when you’re tired of useless and ineffective “talk therapies” which she had endured for YEARS, check out NLP for real life change.  Now.  NLP is “hypnosis on steroids.”  Connie and Michael Brannan of Mindworks Hypnosis & NLP are Licensed Trainers of NLP® through the Society of Neuro Linguistic Programming.  They also teach:  http://www.seattlenlptraining.com     http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dCyzaXc3rhY

Yay, Stacy.  I think she’s beautiful.  Happiness has a shine, does it not?

Warm Regards,
Connie

Does Hypnosis Work? You Betcha!

I had a weight loss client who gave me very strange feedback.  She had come in originally in a total depressed funk, couldn’t lose weight, couldn’t get motivated, couldn’t stick to a food plan.  Had tried and failed numerous times.  Feeling lousy and lacking confidence in herself.

We did some fantastic work, and she began shifting her thinking and her habits.  Eating less, feeling more motivated to exercise, choosing healthy, feeling happier in her life and more empowered.  I was very pleased with our work.

I called her to follow up with her a month or so after her last session (she had a total of 3 with me).  She said (amazingly):

“I’m sad to say the hypnosis didn’t work.  I’ve lost 29 pounds so far and I feel super confident that I’m going to achieve everything I want for my healthy life and lose all the weight I want.  But it’s nothing to do with the hypnosis.  It’s just that my nutritionist found me a good food plan, and it’s so easy and automatic for me to stick with it, that’s why I’m doing so well and losing all the weight I want…”

Here she is describing exactly the success we’d been working on creating and telling me “it didn’t work.”  The hypnosis absolutely DID work.  Minus 29 pounds is amazing success!!  And the hypnosis is still working.  She had food plans before, they didn’t help her.  Changing her thinking/feeling/doing helped her.

I’ve run into this before.  In some people the conscious mind is blind to changes and wants to think it’s something else (besides hypnosis) that accounts for success.  Hypnosis is what allowed her to STICK on the food plan, and in such a graceful and easy manner.  Hypnosis done well leads to changes that feel automatic and easy.

I do hypnosis well.  I wrote back to her congratulating her on her success.  🙂

Does hypnosis work?  Amazingly well, and often in so powerful and streamlined a manner that you forget how life used to be.

Discover your own success–Michael and I are ready to help!

Warm Regards,
Connie
