“Everything is Better!”

Hi, Hypno-Friends!

Recent client gave a short and sweet testimonial and assessment of life after our Neuro-Linguistic Hypnotherapy sessions:  “Everything is better!”   –Alex K, Bellevue, WA.

Alex came in to work on personal development and business success.  We worked on confidence-building, “courage” to speak up when useful, positive self-worth, and turn off inappropriate people-pleasing habits.  He also wanted to work on family and relationship communications.  A “relationship” all comes down to HOW you relate, and how you communicate, and we worked on those things as well.  He also wanted to work on self-healing.  The nice thing about hypnosis:  if the mind is involved in the activity, hypnosis helps!  That means we can enhance and improve life in any and every realm.

Alex is a success story.

If you’re at a place in life where you’d like to see some changes, feel stronger in the world, and turn off anxiety and negative self talk, we can do that.  Call us anytime for setting up a free in-office consultation.  Or just call us and let’s get started.  The consult is optional.  We ask a ton of questions in the course of the work to make sure we’re serving YOUR needs.  This is a custom service.

Learn more!  425. 564-8608.  We’re happy to share what we love and do.  Our live, in person office sessions are in Bellevue, convenient to all of the Greater Seattle area.

All the Best,  Connie

Benefits of Hypnotherapy – So Many!

Hi, Hypnosis Friends!

I’ve been doing this work for 16 years now and love, love, love hypnosis and it’s power.  If you’re unfamiliar with hypnosis, you can learn more any time.  I do offer free consultation meetings in my hypnotherapy clinic in Bellevue, WA.

Here’s a more formal essay on the benefits of hypnotherapy.  And this is just scratching the surface on the possibilities.

Hypnotherapy is a form of therapy that uses hypnosis, or a trance-like state, to address a wide range of mental and physical health issues. This therapy has been used for decades and has been shown to be effective in helping people overcome a variety of challenges and achieve their goals. Here are some of the benefits of hypnotherapy:

  1. Stress and Anxiety Relief: Hypnotherapy has been found to be an effective treatment for reducing stress and anxiety. By inducing a state of relaxation, it can help you to overcome anxiety and reduce stress levels.
  2. Pain Management: Hypnotherapy has been shown to be an effective tool for managing pain, particularly for people with chronic pain conditions. It can help to reduce the perception of pain and manage symptoms such as headaches, back pain, and arthritis.
  3. Improved Sleep: Hypnotherapy can also help to improve sleep patterns, making it easier to fall asleep and stay asleep. This can be particularly beneficial for people with sleep disorders such as insomnia.
  4. Overcoming Bad Habits: Hypnotherapy can be used to help you overcome negative habits such as smoking, overeating, and alcohol consumption. By inducing a state of heightened suggestibility, it can help you to change negative behaviors and develop healthier habits.
  5. Improved Confidence and Self-Esteem: Hypnotherapy can help you to improve your confidence and self-esteem by addressing negative thought patterns and beliefs. This can help you to feel better about yourself and improve your overall well-being.

In conclusion, hypnotherapy can be a powerful tool for improving your mental and physical health. Whether you’re looking to overcome a particular challenge or simply improve your overall well-being, it can be an effective and safe option to consider.

And, of course, you want the BEST people to help you.  Professional, skilled, compassionate. That would be the team at Mindworks Hypnosis.  I’m ready to help.  So is Michael.  Reach out anytime and we’ll get started.  http://www.mindworkshypnosis.net

13th Anniversary for Mindworks Hypnosis & NLP

Offering hypnosis & NLP services in Greater Seattle since 2007.

Hi, Hypnosis Friends!

A new year.  A new decade.  I started this business in 2007, and it has exceeded my expectations, in terms of the pure joy of creation and self expression it affords me.  I love the work I do, and I love how I help.

I offer advice to new hypnotists.  A huge part of this puzzle called success and longevity is getting the word out.  Hence, I spend a lot of effort on my website, Mindworks Hypnosis & NLP.

A website should be legit.  Reflective of the business and people involved.  I’m not a fan of “templates” and boilerplate generic text.  I like genuine.  And original.  I created my website myself–and I’ve written every word describing my services and the numerous articles and I made the videos shared (about 100), selected all images, etc.  It’s me.

And, I always like it when people respond well to it.

“I love your positive energy… somebody who is walking the walk and not just talking to talk.” — Juliette N, Montana

A girl in Montana wrote to me, wanting to work with me.  Unfortunately, my work is face-to-face in my office in Bellevue and involves a multitude of hands-on techniques for success.  A watered-down version of my work via phone or skype wouldn’t cut it.  Those who are serious come work with me, some even from a great distance–and I like that indicator of determination.

I gave Juliette some advice on finding a skilled hypnotherapist.  Hypnotherapy as a profession is growing–so I’m sure she’ll find someone nearer to her.  NLP is the real deal for change and I directed her to the Society of NLP® to find credentialed practitioners.

I’ve looked at some local hypnotists’ websites and their name is hidden, their face is hidden, and there’s no hint as to WHO this site belongs to. Canned!  A picture of a trickling stream and someone in a lotus position.  Personally, I’d like to know more about the person I’d be working with.

I’m celebrating 13 years in business as a hypnotist.  I love it!  Here’s to the next 13 and beyond.

All the Best,
Connie

Visual Montage Describing Hypnosis

Best Seattle Hypnotherapy & NLPHi, Seattle* Hypnosis Friends!

I’ve made a new video, which I’m sharing below!  🙂  My goal is to spread the word about the power of hypnosis to improve life.  I’m enjoying that, an improved life through hypnosis. I want you to, too.

Hypnosis is misunderstood in the world as something dark and strange.  WRONG!  Here’s what it really is:  a fun, pleasant mind space where your wildly creative unconscious mind is free and unfettered to create change without the limitations of the day to day thinking mind.  It’s inspiration.  It’s intuition.  It’s gut knowing.  It’s open choice and possibilities of new ways of being:  joy, confidence, motivation, energy.  I love hypnosis.

These videos are fun for me.  I select images (and buy them for my business use) that speak to me of the power of hypnosis.  Then I string them together with short, easy explanations.  A picture encodes so much information, more than words.  Look at the picture of the girl crouching, huddling, unhappy.  And look at who she really is, the shadow on the wall.  She’s amazing, she’s powerful, she’s resourceful, she’s strong.  And she can accomplish things.  That powerful one is you, with the help of hypnosis.

Mindworks Hypnosis & NLP for your New Year's Resolutions
It’s time for hypnosis!

This is a good time for change.  Call me and I’ll be happy to meet with you in a free 1/2 hour consultation meeting and explain this wonderful thing called unconscious mind and how we tap into it.

Hypnosis is Meditation on Steroids

Hypnosis unlocks your power of mind!Hi, Hypnosis Friends!

Michael and I are offering 4 Power of Mind Workshops next month in the Seattle area, Bellevue, WA to be specific. It’s a great way for people to learn amazing empowerment techniques and ideas at an affordable cost in a tiny chunk of time. One Day!

These are all one-day “taster” seminars offered through the private career school side of my work: http://seattlenlptraining.com/day-seminars/.  In the workshops we explain, demo and the students play with NLP, Neuro-Linguistic Programming (the Art & Science of Excellence).

Michael and I are also offering one seminar on Self Hypnosis, which has caught my attention and prompted me to post.  Every time I teach self hypnosis at Bellevue College, someone asks me:  “Well, how is self hypnosis different from meditation?”  I’ve thought of a great answer:  hypnosis takes it to the next level, with an added oomph for success. Hypnosis is “meditation on steroids.”  And you can quote me!  🙂

Meditation IS a kind of hypnosis, where the goal seems to be to achieve the state of quiet mind and roll around in it–hoping some good things spontaneously generate.  And they probably will!  What’s different about self hypnosis?  Hypnotherapy and self hypnosis use this state of mind targeted for strategic change:  GOALS. With self hypnosis, you’re telling your mind to DO something, to create a specific outcome for your life, whether it be healthier habits or a new body shape, or accelerated healing, or becoming multi-lingual quickly, etc. etc. etc.  Here the etcs are endless.

Yay, for the brain, and it’s very agreeable nature!

At Bellevue College I teach a snippet of this material, as the time allows there.  NOW, Michael and I are teaching this together through our own school, Mindworks NLP, and are offering it to you in an expanded format.  An all day event.  It’s slated for June 20th.  More info is here:  http://seattlenlptraining.com/day-seminars/

Hypnosis is one of my great loves.  I have another:  NLP.  Here’re the other courses we’re offering next month:

Power of Mind Workshops

NLP for Personal Development: June 6, 2015
Rapport & Relating, NLP for Dating: June 13, 2015
Self Hypnosis: June 20, 2015
NLP for Sales and Business Success: June 27, 2015

“Anxiety is totally gone!” Pam’s Success with Mindworks Hypnosis & NLP.

Hi, Hypnosis Friends!

I’m always pleased when a client is so happy with my work that he/she agrees to comment publicly on the power of hypnotherapy and NLP done right.  Here’s a video testimonial of success from a recent client, Pam Parsons, of Issaquah, WA.  She reports that anxiety is “Totally gone.”  Yay!

Pam decided to feel differently, and move ahead in life.  She chose to feel:  “calm, confident, worthy, driven, and courageous.”  The tools and techniques I use helped her to do just that.  We create new Designer Feelings™, and replace the unwanted feelings, and automate that process for the future, which we call Designer Beliefs ™.  Powerful stuff! Fabulous stuff.  Life-changing stuff. Pam knows.

A man I met recently asked me a question.  He said, at the end of your life, are you going to be able to say with authority and truth that you lived the life you wanted?  That you mattered, that you made a positive difference in the world, that you loved fully, that you lived fully?  I know my answer is going to be:  YES!  I love helping people, and I’m doing it. I’m living my passion.  I’m also happy that I’m helping other people to have a more wonderful life and be able to answer that question themselves in the affirmative, too.

Can Hypnosis Help With…?

When you understand how the mind works, change is easy.
When you understand how the mind works, change is easy.

The answer is: “yes!” Michael and I have a saying: “If it involves the mind, hypnosis can help.”

I’m continuously asked whether I’ve worked successfully with clients on something very specific, like: Have you worked successfully with clients who pick at their face, have you worked with clients who play soccer, have you worked with teenagers who smoke, have you worked with diabetics with sugar “addictions,” have you worked with someone with a fear of dinosaurs, have you worked with a person wearing pink socks, on a Tuesday? At this point in my career, yes to all.

That’s like asking a painter: have you ever painted a portrait where the man has a mole on his left cheek? Has he? Maybe yes, maybe no. But could he? Absolutely yes. It’s like asking a master carpenter if he could build a birdhouse? Has he? Maybe yes, maybe no. But could he? Absolutely yes.

Once you understand the nuts and bolts of your craft, you can create anything. NLP and hypnosis are about changing the thinking, feeling, and responses in the moments and situations of your life, as it’s useful to do so. The details of those situations are irrelevant, once you understand how the mind works and how we create change in our minds and lives. I do have that understanding.

I can help anybody do anything. These mind tools that I use, primarily NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) are less about the content of a problem, and more about the structure of a person’s thinking. When you change the latter, the former dissolves. And fast!

This idea is so counter to what’s understood in our culture about the nature of personal change, and I understand that. I read a post on Facebook yesterday which I find repulsive (and wrong) on so many levels. Here’s what it said:

“Until you heal the wounds of your past, you are going to bleed. You can bandage the bleeding with food, with alcohol, with drugs, with work, with cigarettes, with sex; But eventually, it will all ooze through and stain your life. You must find the strength to open the wounds, stick your hands inside, and pull out the core of the pain that is holding you in your past, the memories and make peace with them.”

What if that idea is ugly ridiculousness? What if change were easier than that and pain free? In the work I do, we heal the life by re-arranging the structure of thinking, the internal mind strategies that create a problem, and we don’t even have to delve into content. So no, there’s no sticking your hands inside wounds and wallowing in misery. Not in my office!! No blood. I don’t want that on my carpet. Perhaps the above is what counselors or talk therapists do. That’s not what I do. Nor would I ever.

Skilled NLP is more powerful and successful for change than that. The proof is in the pudding. Feel free to visit my website and see all the pudding. Or, come to my office and have a taste yourself.

What is hypnosis and NLP good for? What can it help with? Anything and everything.

Warm Regards,
Connie

Hypnotism = Targeted Reality Engineering ™

When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.
When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.

Here’s my morning musing. 🙂 My teacher, Dr. Richard Bandler, says this:  “The truth is that reality is built out of consciousness not the inverse. Our imaginations determine what will be real next.”

This is a difficult concept for many.  Yet, day after day, year after year, doing this work, I absolutely know it’s true.  What we focus our minds on we create in our lives, whether that be success or misery.  What we’re thinking about in this moment creates our tomorrows.  So, my advice?  Think about what you WANT.  🙂  Not what you don’t want.

What are hypnosis and NLP?  They’re express tickets into the playground called “the unconscious mind” where we can focus this imagination in ways to create a better, desired reality.  I use the word “playground” very intentionally, because doing this(targeted reality making) is so much FUN and such a pleasant experience for all involved.

I’ve come up with a new description for what I do.  Hypnotist = Targeted Reality Engineer ™.

Warm Regards,
Connie

Client Testimonial of Healthy Changes Unfolding

Happy client success
Happy hypnosis client success

This beautiful lady, Stephanie Meade, of Renton, WA is noticing some positive changes after beginning Neuro Linguistic Hypnotherapy with Mindworks Hypnosis.  The changes are in her eating habits, her activity level, and her positive self image and sense of her own choices.

She’s losing desire for foods that are unhealthy, and finding a new focus.  Healthy!   Good job, Stephanie!   And, best of all, she knows she deserves success and can achieve success.

In her own words:

“Hi, my name is Stephanie.   I have been seeing Connie for a couple weeks now and I’m already noticing some really fabulous changes.

Ice cream has always been a big issue for me.  The other night my brother wanted to go to Dairy Queen, and I could not even go through the drive-thru because I just couldn’t even stand the thought of touching the ice cream.  So, I made him go in to get it and hide it from me.

And, pizza has always been my very favorite thing to eat.  I’ve never gone, I think,  longer than a week without pizza.  I haven’t had any for, I think, three weeks now, maybe four.   I also don’t have any desire for the pizza, which is a crazy thing.

And, I’m starting to feel better about myself.   I’ve always struggled with feelings of not feeling good enough.   I’m starting to feel like I AM good enough, like I’m a good person, and I deserve to succeed.  And so, I can’t wait to see what other wonderful changes happen as I progress with Connie.”  — Stephanie Meade, Renton, WA

That’s right. Stephanie is making changes. Changes in eating habits, changes in motivation to exercise, changes in self image. She’s moving towards her goal, step by step. Hypnosis is the tool to activate this journey successfully. Mindworks Hypnosis & NLP. Find what works!

Warm Regards,
Connie

Change is Easy

Time to change.
It's time to change, and change is easy.

I like this picture! It’s the current view out my office window. Green life! The trees are changing.  Look how easily they make radical changes.  Those old leaves used to be attached.  Now the trees have said:  “I’m done with that!”  And whooooosh, they’re gone.

That’s how hypnosis works, too.  A decision is made.  Change happens.  And life gets better.  And when it’s time to do it, you know.  What you might not know is that change is as easy as what you see in this picture.

Trees are my metaphor for life.  I love trees.  It helps that I was born and raised in the Seattle area.  We got trees!!  I lived in Arizona for about a decade, and let me tell you, those cactus and palms were pretty, but can’t compete with our Pacific Northwest TREES.  I’m loving the green.  And the ideas they spark about how change can be fast, easy, and natural.

When you open your mind to new resourcefulness and new choices (that’s what hypnosis does), you’ll see that for yourself.  Call me if you’d like to set up a free in-person consult to learn more about what your life can be, successful, happy, and powerful.  (425) 564-8608.

Warm Regards,
Connie

So, Buddha was a Hypnotist?

Buddha was another smart cookie.  He obviously shared the hypnotic mindset.  What you think, you become. Change begins in your mind.

In a nutshell, that’s the work Michael and I do at Mindworks Hypnosis & NLP here in the Seattle area.  We help people change their thinking, become more resourceful in the world, and see life differently, and those differences in thinking lead to differences in living.  It’s that easy.

And that difficult.  Because skilled hypnotism and Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP: that’s a high tech hypnosis) in the Seattle area is not as common as you might think.  If you find a hypnotist who is GOOD, passionate, creative, skilled, and shares Buddha’s thinking on this, well, magic can happen.  And does!

Call us to learn more about the mind and personal growth and personal development and habit change.  That’s our expertise!  We can help you reshape your thinking in ways that serve your goals.  And your life success!  As a reminder that, yes, hypnosis works, check out the scores of happy hypnosis client testimonials on our website!

Another Happy Camper: Seattle Client Reports Success with Mindworks Hypnosis

Hypnosis for Life Success, that’s Seattle’s Best: Mindworks Hypnosis & NLP.

Hi, Hypno-Friends!

I have a piece of paper in my office, and it’s been there since day one and my first client.  It says:  “You can change the world.”  It sits by a wooden block of letters spelling out the word:  BELIEVE.  Believe you can change the world.  Yes, I do hold that belief.

How do I know?  I get feedback from flesh and blood clients reporting life improvements from our work.  🙂  Here is another report just in from a Seattle man who came in for hypnosis, who wanted my help with business success.  He got what he came for.  And he expressed his gratitude in an email I received today.

“Hi Connie, Happy New Year to you!!! I feel really great, empowered, optimistic, and full of life. You were able to unlock the patterns that I had created for myself holding me back. Thank you. I will most definitely keep you in mind for myself and anyone I know that may need some help. May this be your best year yet. It’s going to be mine 🙂 B. D., Seattle, WA.”

Yay, B.D.  You go, boy!

I take my job, which is also my passion, very seriously.  And I am dedicated to doing what that piece of paper reminds me every day.  “Believe you can change the world.”  I do and I am, by helping improve lives, one mind at a time.

Warm Regards,
Connie

I hypnotize the group en masse, and set a trigger for the students to return to “instant trance” anytime they like.  With this tool, we can focus our own minds on positive changes–and the unconscious mind is the part of your brain that makes things happen.  It’s the seat of our emotions and behaviors.

In the class, we practice hypnosis.  We learn the truth about hypnosis.  We learn how to craft what’s known as a “well-formed goal.”  (You have to know what you want in order to get it!)

It’s fun.  It’s hypnotic.  It’s inexpensive.  This class through Bellevue College is only $89.  What a deal!  If you want in, there’s still room as of this writing:

http://www.campusce.net/BC/course/course.aspx?C=11562&pc=1066&mc=1387&sc

Hypnosis.  It’s everywhere you want to be.  Including Bellevue College tonight.  Join me if you can, you must sign up through BC.  I know you’ll be glad you did!

Warm Regards,
Connie

World Hypnotism Day 1/28 – Thank You to Attendees!

Hi, Guys!

Michael and I attended the festivities today in Bellevue around our state’s National Guild of Hypnotists’ chapter’s World Hypnotism Day events.  Michael and I were financial sponsors of the event as well as participants.  Michael gave free public talks on getting over PTSD, and another on the Magic of Instant Change, and a class for professional hypnotists on hypnotic “inductions.”  (Bringing someone into hypnosis.)  He also manned a Q&A panel to answer questions re:  hypnosis and hypnotherapy.

I gave a free talk on Smoking Cessation, as well as a paid course for professionals on how to bring a resource state into a problem state and dissolve the problem state — Advanced techniques of NLP Anchoring.

It was a long day, but FUN!  Thank you to all who attended, and we hope you learned more about the power of your own minds.

World Hypnotism Day is an event to promote the understanding of hypnosis as a healing art–I think that we met that challenge today.  🙂  For more local events, keep your eyes on my “events page” at the top of this blog.  Hypnosis is something to be celebrated all year long, not just one day.

Warm Regards,
Connie

Drive Your Own Bus

NLP is the real deal for life change.
NLP is the real deal for life change.

Hi, Hypno-Friends, Enthusiasts, & Interested Parties!

There’s still a few seats available for Michael’s and my “Power of Mind” Workshop we’re offering.  It’s happening this Saturday, July 16.  More info:

https://mindworkshypnosis.net/hypnotizer/?p=1578

and http://www.seattlenlptraining.com

It’s a driving school.  Not about motor vehicles.  It’s about LIVES.  Your life! About running your life the way you want.  Taking control.  The King of NLP, and my teacher, Dr. Richard Bandler, calls learning and using NLP “Driving your own bus.”  Yes, I do.  Perhaps, you want to, too! 🙂

This powerful seminar/workshop focuses on using NLP for self development and life success.  NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) can be described as an amalgam of linguistics and hypnosis, and is based on the study of human excellence.  If it weren’t already taken, the slogan for NLP could be:  “Be all that you can be.”  Yes, you can.  We’ll help you, as you learn and experience powerful subconscious communication tools and techniques you can use immediately to increase personal satisfaction, self confidence, influence and power.  Eliminate undesirable habits!  Program in more useful ones.  Control your emotional states and more!

It’s not fluff.  It’s not hype.  It’s REAL.  The testimonials on my website (and there are dozens upon dozens) are because I incorporate NLP into my therapy work.  In one of the video testimonials we received, a woman says:  “Everyone should be required to learn this (NLP) at an early age.  It would make the world such a better place.”  I absolutely agree.

If you want in for a one-day workshop showcasing NLP and more about hypnosis in general, too…join us!  Remember that old airline slogan, “We love to fly, and it shows.”  Well, We love NLP, and it shows.

Warm Regards,
Connie & Michael

Why My Desk Drawer Is Full Of Cigarettes.

Hello, Hypnosis Friends!

It’s time to clean out my work desk.  It’s getting cluttered.  And it’s full of things I don’t want.  Nobody does.

Some formerly-smoking clients like to give me “gifts” as they’re leaving their Neuro-Linguistic Hypnotherapy session(s).  They hand me their last package of cigarettes, and say:  “I don’t need these.  I’m so done with cigarettes.”

I’ve been keeping these “gifts” for a reason.  Part of the work I do is TESTING.  How do we know the hypnosis is working?  The proof is the pudding and you, my clients, are the pudding.  How do you respond?  Is it different than when you walked in the door?

With a spider phobia client we go into the garden and look for spiders, so he/she can stick their face two inches from a spider and FEEL the difference.  Nothing.  Calm.  With a fear-of-heights client, we’ll walk into the open 2nd level atrium in my building and lean over the edge, and FEEL the difference.  Nothing.  Calm.  With a former smoker, he/she will hold the cigarette, smell the cigarette, look at the package, and FEEL the difference.  Zero interest.  Zero attraction.  Indifference.  Or, as useful, disgust, as in “I don’t want those.”

So I keep these packages of cigarettes around for testing.  But I don’t need so many packages in my drawer.  I’ll just keep one.

Other “gifts” include tins of chewing tobacco, and various packages of candy.  Clients have handed them over telling me that they’re choosing healthy instead.  I have some in my drawer, and it’s also a nice test for ME–someone who was a “candy addict” for decades upon decades.  I test me, and no, I have zero interest  in eating that candy.  Forgetaboutit!  Good thing, too.  Because I’ve re-shaped my body with hypnosis and I intend to keep it that way.

HYPNOSIS WORKS!  What do you want to remove from the “drawer” to create your happy life?  Come see me.  I’ll help you declutter from the things you don’t want. Call me and learn more: (425) 564-8608. Or check out one or more of my websites:

NLP Explained – What is Neuro-Linguistic Programming and how will it help me change my life? (Easily!)

Here’s another video! (I’m just a video makin’ machine today!!) 🙂

To experience life change with this methodology:
http://www.mindworkshypnosis.net.

To learn this life-changing methodology:
http://www.seattlenlptraining.com

NLP is a conversational, high-tech hypnosis…the most powerful change tool on earth.  It’s also been called “hypnosis on steroids.”  Absolutely.  This is the primary thing which has reshaped by body (minus 75+ pounds) and my life.  Do you think I’d have been comfortable and confident enough before NLP to make a video such as the above and chat to the world?  No way, Jose.  Do you think I’d be running my own businesses?  Perhaps, but I doubt as successfully.

NLP is a set of tools for life success.  This is what sets me above other hypnotherapists’ level of success–my NLP.  There are Practitioners of NLP, there are Master Practitioners of NLP, and beyond that level of skill, there are Trainers of NLP.   I’m a Licensed Trainer of NLP ™.  And, when you come to my office, what you’re going to receive is neuro-linguistic hypnotherapy.  In my estimation, the power of this blend and the postive changes achieved through this exceeds anything else I’ve ever heard of or experienced on earth.  I’d love it if you’d let me prove it to you.

Warm Regards,
Connie

New Year’s Resolve

Happy 2011 To You!

Happy New Year!   Are you making some wonderful New Year’s Resolutions for 2011 for your health and success and prosperity?  I am!

Yes, I’ve been thinking about New Year’s Resolutions.  And the word “resolve.”  What does it really mean?   If you’re sort of wanting something, thinking about it, but doing little or nothing to achieve it, that equals a lack of resolve.   “Gee, that would be nice someday, but…”  If you’re half-heartedly doing something towards a goal for only  a day or two or three and then the desire drifts away, that’s a wishy-washy resolve.  Like a slap with a wet noodle–not much power in it.   I believe that half-hearted  determination is what most people bring to their New Year’s Resolve.  And that’s sad.

However, it doesn’t have to be that way!!  🙂  If weak resolve is not good enough for you, read on!  Hypnosis helps you create something absolutely different.  Hypnosis reaches into your inner workings and finds, reinforces and activates true resolve.  True resolve is a whole-hearted affair.  Heart and mind and body affair–every nerve and fiber of your being saying:  “YES, I’m going for it!!!”   Resolve and determination…think Rocky preparing for his big fight, eating raw eggs, and working out, running up those monument steps, triumphant (in advance) and focusing all his attention and actions on achieving his goal.

That’s real resolve.   It’s power, because you KNOW you’re going to get what you want and nothing and no one can deter you.  You do everything within your power and energy and creativity, with passion and motivation, to achieve it, that worthy outcome you desire.

Resolve is also a visual term.  When things come into focus, they resolve.  The blur resolves into a clear image.  When you resolve to do something, your goal is FOCUSED.  Sharp, sharp, sharp.  Clear.  Unmistakable.  How would you like to be sharply focused and motivated and moving on your goals with true resolve?  Yes, me, too.

Hypnosis, baby!  If your New Year’s desires already have the force of a pure and clear RESOLUTION,  yay!   I applaud you!  Go for it.  However, if you find that clarity of desire unfocused, or the resolve is not there to give you that OOMPH, that go for it power of actual sustained movement forward, then hypnosis is a tool to help you do just that.

It doesn’t matter WHAT you are resolving to do, hypnosis can give you that directed focus and acceleration, like stepping on the gas pedal in your car.  You select the destination, hypnosis is both the GPS  (how to get there) and the thrust forward of stepping on the gas.  Resolve.  Rocky was hypnotized.  He hypnotized himself into power.  We are all capable of this, but it’s a heck of a lot easier to have a professional communicator help it to happen faster and more easily.

Personally, I think it would be a massively wonderful gift to give yourself for the new year: a super powerful  hypnotic dose of accelerant for your goals, whatever they may be.  Quitting tobacco once and for all, getting in shape, finishing that project, beginning that project, whatever you’re resolving within yourself to do and be for 2011 and beyond.  The difference:  with hypnosis, the resolve STICKS, long and strong enough to get what you want.  How cool is that?

Resolve to make 2011 your best year ever, and begin to realize the control you do have over your life.  Over your actions, your habits, your very thoughts.

Warmest  Regards,
Connie

Positive Self-Talk in Action

Enjoy this short video.  It is VERY cute!  Here’s someone demonstrating confidence and positive self-talk and focusing on what’s good in her life (“what I like”).  What a terrific way to feel good and do good.  “I can do anything good!  Better than anyone.”  🙂

Hypnotic Power Speak in Oregon

Connie's giving a talk to the OHA.
Connie's giving a talk to the OHA.

Hi, Hypno-Friends!

I’m giving a presentation this month to the Oregon Hypnotherapy Association, a next-state-over organization of hypnosis professionals.  I’m very excited that I’ve been invited to do so.  It’s terrific when we can share our knowledge, and further the professionalism of hypnosis.

Some people out there still think hypnosis is about barking like dogs and dancing like chickens.  Uh…no.  It’s about positive life change, it’s about programming your mind for success (which you get to define).  It’s a tool for change.  And I love it with a passion, as you know if you’ve been reading my bloggings, and now…I get to share some of my passion in Oregon with like-minded professionals.  Good stuff!

I was just in Oregon a few days ago, at the ocean.  Oregon is so beautiful, green, and fresh, much like home!  It’s a pleasure and a privilege to go share some of my hypno-know-how with other professionals.  🙂

In case any of my readers are in Oregon or will be on September 25th and are interested, here is more info:  http://www.hypnosis-oregon.com/news.   The language of influence.  I talk about effective communications with my favorite chat-partner:  the unconscious mind.

It’s another kudo for my “I love me wall,” and another opportunity to share and visit one of my favorite states.  States in geography, and states of mind.  Both!  Oregon and hypnosis, two great things that go great together.  Wish me luck, and join me if you’re so inclined!

Warm Regards,
Connie

“Too Stimulating”

http://www.mindworkshypnosis.net
http://www.mindworkshypnosis.net

Hi, here’s another “musing.”  🙂  I was on the phone today with a potential student for my NLP and hypnosis trainings, and she informed me that my website, Mindworks Hypnosis was overly “stimulating.”  I laughed out loud.  I’m doubtful that she meant something positive by it, but I see that comment as a good thing!  Oh, yes!

Stimulation is good in my book.  According to dictionary dot com, stimulation means:  arouse, activate, excite.  Those words all sound beautiful to me.  OVER-stimulation, well, that’s a sliding scale of subjectivity, and everyone is different.  Some people would be overstimulated sitting quiety in a dark room, and others might be UNDER-stimulated while riding a roller-coaster at the fair.  If there were no stimulation, life would be a flat line affair.

Arouse!  Activate!  Excite!  Yes, that’s what I want my website to do!  Yes, that’s what I want my words and stories to do, whether I’m teaching or working with clients, or just talking, or writing this blog.  And yes, that’s what hypnosis itself does.   Hypnosis = Stimulation.  In hypnosis, we stimulate the unconscious mind–to see that things can be different, and better.

In discussions with hypno-friends we discuss this idea of sleep.  Hypnosis as sleep.  How erroneous can an idea be??  What hypnosis does is wake a person up!!  Wake a person up to new possibilities and creativity and his/her own strengths and abilities to move in that direction.  Wake up!!   A lot of us live self-imposed limited lives, we trudge through a lot of our days on autopilot, with blinders on, robotic, zombie-like, and assuming what happened yesterday has to happen today and has to happen tomorrow.    Boxes, walls, trapped!  (I know this feeling, because I used to live this way, too.)  Trapped!  No way, Jose!  Wake up!!  Hypnosis wakes a person up to choice, and stimulates a recognition of the limitless vistas of possibility.

Things can be different.  Beginning now.

I’m happy to stimulate people to see beyond, to imagine more.  When that girl said my website was too “stimulating,” I think she meant it as a criticism.  I take it as a giant compliment!

Warm Regards,
Connie
