Experience Hypnosis – Bellevue College Event 10-21-15

Seattle Hypnotherapy & NLP BellevueHi, Hypnosis Friends and Enthusiasts!

Here is an opportunity to get hypnotized and experience that state of being which is calm, quiet, clear-minded, and creative.  Here’s a chance to see something useful change in your life.  It’s my A Chance to Trance one evening experiential class at Bellevue College on 10/21/15 at 7:00 pm:

http://www.campusce.net/BC/course/course.aspx?C=12634&mc=1893&pc=1817

Hypnosis is an experience I believe everyone in the universe should enjoy as a means to goal achievement.  Not only do I teach hypnosis and use it in my business Mindworks Hypnosis & NLP, I use it myself.  And do you know what, it works!

People who have heard about hypnosis think it’s limited in it’s uses.  FALSE.  It can help achieve the proper mindset and body cooperation for any goal.  Here’s a personal example:

I had oral surgery yesterday.  It was supposedly “a big deal,” with pain killers prescribed and a million rules and do’s and don’t do’s for “post op.”  I used self hypnosis for accelerated, perfect healing, and do you know what?  Today I feel fine.  It took one ibuprofen after the surgery, that’s it.  No pain.  No swelling.  The surgeon was recommending sedation medication for the surgery itself (and told me that was typical for his patients).  I said, no thank you.  And I didn’t need it.  I used self hypnosis to remain calm, and relaxed throughout.

Our minds are more powerful than we use.  If you’re ready to learn more about hypnosis and experience that state for yourself, then my event next week is for you.  It’s moocho inexpensive.  You can sign up through Bellevue College at the link above.   Hope to see you there!

A Cat’s Eye View

NLP Eye Accessing CatHere’s a brief video I created tonight. I call it: “A Cat’s Eye View.”

The eyes have it!  Check out this curious cat as he demonstrates for you the NLP eye accessing cues. Eye movement reveals thought patterns. NLP is a conversational hypnosis that teaches us how to communicate effectively and create change in ourselves and others. Mindworks NLP is a Licensed Private Career School in Washington State and Connie & Michael Brannan are Licensed Trainers of NLP®.

NLP, Neuro Linguistic Programming, is a methodology I teach as well as use in my Hypnotherapy practice.  It’s my number one tool, my go to.  NLP is really something super fascinating.  It’s all about the mind and how it works (hence my business name, “Mindworks”) and how we create change.  It’s about effective communications and our mental strategies for success (or failure) for joy (or misery).  We alter the unconscious mind strategies to create more success and more joy.

Connie

Designer Beliefs ™

Mind Functions and HypnosisThought for the day:

“Sometimes I’ve believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast.” ― Lewis Carroll

What you believe creates who you are and how you live.  We at Mindworks Hypnosis & NLP help you create new beliefs as well as implement those changes that flow from them. We ourselves have a very firmly held belief:  people are infinitely resourceful.  That means, yes, you can!

Whatever outcome it is.  If you believe you can, you will find a way.  Here’s another quotation:  “Where there’s a will, there’s a way.”  Hypnosis pops you into your inner mind to facilitate “finding the way.”  If you need help with “the will” side of the equation, we can help there, too.  We call our process of belief alteration and implementation:  Designer Beliefs™.  Michael and I have developed a process whereby we help you believe what it’s useful and important to believe about yourself and the world.  Such as:

— I can do it!

— I deserve it!

— I’m good enough!

— I’m worthy!

— Change is easy!

— The time is now!

These things are all true about you.  Wouldn’t it be nice to believe them?  REALLY believe them.  And activate change based on them.

Two for One: Self Confidence Issues & Performance Anxiety Removed in One Session

The Best Seattle hypnosis private sessions with Connie Brannan, Mindworks Hypnosis & NLP
Find yours! Mindworks Hypnosis & NLP

Hi, Seattle area and beyond Hypnosis Friends!

Yay, for success!  Here’s another happy client testimonial.  Desirae Townsend, of Maple Valley, WA. had two main goals entering my office.  As she told me, she had “struggled since childhood with a fear of performance.”  She wanted to share her music, her joy with her family, friends, other musicians, and was unable to do so.  She also had this ridiculous embedded belief:  ‘I’m not good enough.”  As I told her, “that’s got to go!”  And so we did.

She had one two-hour Neuro-Linguistic Hypnotherapy session with me last month at Mindworks Hypnosis & NLP.  We worked on those issues, and I also taught her self hypnosis as well.  She was kind enough to send me an update on her positive changes.  Here’s Desirae, sharing her excitement:

“Hi Connie,

I just wanted to give you an update on my progress post appointment for performance anxiety and self esteem.  About not feeling good enough… That has been totally reversed.  I never even think that anymore.  The cool part is that I used to get anxiety stepping into new situations by myself or sometimes even going to the store but now I don’t even question I, just step right in.  It’s been so awesome and I feel a huge sense of freedom!

Re: performance:  I have since had 3 guitar lessons and have had no trouble playing my guitar in front of my teacher or anyone else that I told you about. I’ve also used the self hypnosis tools you taught me numerous times since our session and they are working great as well.

Thank you so much!  You have changed my life!!  I’m so grateful to you!!!  I will always recommend your work!!  What you do to help people is so important and so powerful. Thank you again! I can’t say that enough.”  — Desirae Townsend, Maple Valley, WA.

Just a note on self hypnosis.  It’s a fantastic tool.  I offer it to clients.  Remember that old saying:  give a man a fish, he has dinner.  Teach him how to fish, and he has ability to feed himself for life.  Coming to my office is a nice, big salmon presented on a platter.  Self hypnosis is fishing!  I’m glad Desirae is using self hypnosis.

Find out more about what I do and how I can help you personally.  I offer private client sessions in my office in the beautiful Bellefield Office Park in Bellevue, WA.  I also offer a free in person consultation.  No obligation, and no cost.  Because, when people understand what this is, this transformational power of skilled NLP plus hypnotherapy, well, they jump on it!

Call me and we’ll set up a meeting.  I’m happy to do that!  My phone number is (425) 564-8608, and of course all my information is here:  http://www.mindworkshypnosis.net.

Stressed? Anxious? What if emotions could turn on a dime?

Seattle hypnotherapy clinic Mindworks Hypnosis
Change your thinking, change your mood.

Hi, Hypnosis Friends!

With hypnosis and NLP Neuro Linguistic Programming, we can program in new responses in any given situation.   The boss is yelling, traffic is congested, your significant other is in a bad mood, the restaurant is out of just the thing you wanted. They call it “situational stress.”  What if, after hypnotherapy…that same situation became situational calm, or situaltional happy, or situational “I can handle it!”  We can do that!

I think this video is cute.  And it demonstrates an important fact.  We can change our emotions on a dime.  FAST!

Cute baby!  She’s crying, looking like a full-blown tantrum is going to ensue.  Then, suddenly, she hears her happy music.  And the dancing begins!  Instant change.  For those of you who think “change is slow and difficult,” watch her face.  We’re talking instant change!

With NLP, and Neuro Linguistic hypnosis therapy, we give  you control, to turn a negative emotion and response into a positive one.  When you choose to do it.  We can also program your mind and life for those responses to become automated in a particular context.  This little girl has been programmed in a natural manner, in a great way.  Music = dancing and happy.  It doesn’t matter what was going on before.

We can take control of these automatic responses.  Goodbye, fear, anxiety, phobic responses, distraction, procrastination, and so on.

Find out more anytime in an in person explanatory meeting.  Call us for a free consultation. No charge, no obligation.  Just an opportunity to learn more, and hear what a professional change worker says about your mind and your untapped abilities to feel more resourceful now.

Teenage Empowerment Client Testimonial

Greater Seattle Clinical Hypnotherapy NLP ServicesHi, Hypnosis Friends!

Some people complain about their lot in life, as though there were nothing to be done.  “I can’t.”  Some people look at their life, and determine to make it different.

Some people declare themselves victims, and remain stuck.  Some people get tough, get strong, and act.  “I’m doing it!”

Alexa is one of the powerful people in this world. And she’s only a teenager.  She’s decided to have a great life, and she’s come to realize who is in charge of that.  She is. I’m so proud of her and the work we’ve been doing together.  Here are comments she made yesterday about her experience of NLP and hypnosis:

“I used to be slightly skeptical, but working with Connie took me from a miserable and depressed state, to a state of being head-over-heels in love with my life and myself.  I now feel as though I can do anything, as if I have endless chances and options.

I feel this way because it is true. It is my reality. And it can be yours too. The mind is the only thing that can hold you back, but it is also the only thing that can set you free.

If you need to create control, success, and positive change in your life, I highly encourage you to give Connie Brannan a call.  She is kind, down-to-Earth, unique, and she radiates positivity.”  Alexa,  Seattle, WA

Thank you, Alexa!  Once you cross that bridge, from victim-hood to empowerment, there’s no going back.  It reframes life and every event.  You realize that you control how you communicate and respond and feel and believe.  So make those communications effective, those responses useful, those feelings glorious and joyous, and those beliefs those of “I can!”

All the Best,
Connie

Skeptical Transforms into Success

Clinical hypnotherapy in Bellevue Mindworks Hypnosis
Find your happy with Mindworks Hypnosis.

Hi, Hypnosis Friends!

Because of the myths and misunderstandings of hypnosis floating around in the world, some people are skeptical and don’t really understand it’s power.  Until they do.  The proof is in the pudding.  Always.

M.L.J, of Seattle came into Mindworks Hypnosis for NLP services and hypnotherapy for the purpose of anxiety and stress release, both in the work setting and in her personal relationships.  She was skeptical.  At first.  And yet she was open to go for it.  Now she knows something different, and that difference is success in her goal, the absence of stress.

Here’s her short and sweet report after NLP and hypnosis:

“Although I was skeptical at first it really did help. I haven’t felt stressed at all.” —  M.L.J., Seattle, WA

Think about the power of that change.  “I haven’t felt stressed.  AT ALL.”   Good job, M!

When people are caught up in stress, they don’t see the world or themselves clearly.  I helped another gentleman with anxiety just yesterday in Bellevue, and here is what he told me he noticed immediately afterward.

He commented that not only did he feel different (calm, safe, and confident), the world looked different to him. Literally. Colors brighter, more present in the moment and noticing the things around him more. He said he looked at his face in the mirror and that he looked different to himself, more good looking.

Wow!  That’s success.  Now all he has to do is hold onto those good feelings.  And I gave him a tool to do so and taught him how to use it.  That’s NLP — a supercharged, powerful and quick hypnosis.

If only more people knew the truth about hypnosis.  It’s something so positive and so powerful, and so COOL.  And so helpful.

If you’d like a taste of calm, or confident, or any other blend of good feelings, call us.  We are the creators of Designer Feelings™  We’re happy to help.  http://www.mindworkshypnosis.net

Entertainer Finds Her Performance Confidence

Hypnosis for Performance Confidence

Hi, Hypnosis Friends!

Performance anxiety is never a good thing in any setting:  taking a test at school, playing your sport, giving a speech. But what a terrible state of affairs for an entertainer to have performance anxiety onstage.

Until they realize they don’t have to.

I was pleased to work with a professional singer recently, who reports that she is “thrilled with her progress!”  after one session.  Here’s her happy report:

“Hi, Connie,

You and I had a session to help me with my performance anxiety.   I had my rehearsals for my current production, which in the past would cause me some distress.   I am happy to say that I have good news  to report, and I am thrilled with my progress!

Since my session, I have been feeling much more calm and positive in my chorus and solo singing. Furthermore, my ability to focus in high pressure situations has improved, thus resulting in the level of performance that I had always felt I was capable of achieving in practice, but what my anxiety would often hinder in performance.

I have sung a few times since our session, and these experiences have all been positive, so much that I feel myself rebuilding the foundation of trust and faith in myself that I thought I had lost forever.  I want to thank you so much for your help.   I had almost given up on the thing I love, but this has given my mind much needed peace.

I will continue to share my story with others, and if anyone expresses interest upon hearing it, I will be sure to refer your practice.  Thank you again!”  — J.M., Bothell, WA.

Yay, JM!  You go, girl.  What’s next?  American Idol?  🙂  I can help with any dreams.

All the Best,
Connie

What is Hypnosis Useful For? Discover Hypnosis Webinar Excerpt

Seattle hypnotherapy clinic Mindworks Hypnosis
Find your happiness with hypnosis.

Hi, Hypnosis Friends!

Yesterday evening, Michael and I shared some thoughts and insights into how the mind works and hypnosis as a change tool.  We had a lot of fun, it was our first ever Webinar offering online.

It’s cool, and it’s easy for participants, as anyone with internet can join us from their own home or phone.  It was a great learning experience for us, as well, as to the technical necessities of this form of online sharing of info.

In the next few weeks, we’ll be sharing snippets of our presentation from last night.  Here’s one right now, where I answer the question:  “What is hypnosis good for?”  My answer:  anything that involves the mind.  Here’s the video:

Sorry for the uneven sound–we’re still learning the technical side of all this. I hope you can hear my passion and enthusiasm coming through, as well as info.  I’m including a text transcript as well:

“Hello! Connie, again! What has hypnosis been used for? Pretty much anything you can imagine. If your mind is involved, hypnosis can be useful for that. It’s been used clinically for so many different things. The big three: weight loss, quit smoking, and anxiety and stress release. Those are the mainstream kind of things that people come to a hypnotist for.

However, it’s possible to do so much more beyond that. We can stop pain. We can stop bleeding. We can help people to have comfort during oral surgery without anesthesia. Surgical procedures without anesthesia. Through the power of the mind. Accelerated healing. There’s a whole field of hypnosis called hypno-birthing. I don’t partake of that, however many people do. And that is all about preparing the person’s mind for comfortable childbirth.

There’s just so many different uses. And I can tell you a little bit more about some of the clients I’ve had in my office. Really, it’s everyday people with everyday issues.

• People that have had relationship breakups and they want to stop obsessing about their old partner.

• People that play golf. They want to be a better golfer, they just want to score better in their game. Any sport, any sport you can name, hypnosis is a way to focus the mind to access a skill set and automate it!

• Any kind of phobias or fears that are inappropriate for life can be shifted. I have seen every phobia under the sun. Fear of overripe bananas. Fear of record stores. Fear of dinosaurs. Just fear of anything you can imagine. Fear of the wind! Imagine how terrifying that would be, living here in the Pacific Northwest. You see a leaf move, and you go into a panic attack. These things are not resourceful. They’re not useful. And the mind can make those changes very easily.

• I’ve worked with artists. I’ve worked with musicians.

• Kids with test anxiety.

• I’ve helped a stroke survivor regain cognitive function.

• I’ve helped people with memory.

• If you’re into the esoteric explorations, I even did past life recall type work with people where we go backwards in time in their imagination and we replicate and recreate wisdom and learnings from prior lives. Whether you believe it’s an actual thing, a past life, or simply a symbolic representation in the mind, either way it has useful information there. So, sometimes in hypnosis, that’s where we go.

What is hypnosis good for? Really, anything and everything! I have worked with kids to senior citizens for everything. If it’s something that you want to be different in your life, hypnosis is a tool that can help you get that communication into the unconscious. Where it has power.

Because, here’s the bottom line: Your unconscious mind is really super agreeable. It will create for you the things you instruct it to do. It is so agreeable, so accommodating, and so creative in making it happen.

The problem that people run into is they think about the things they don’t want in their life. With hypnosis, we pull them out of that thinking and put them into the other side of the coin. As Albert Einstein said: “You can’t solve a problem with the same thinking that created it.” Or maintains it! What do you want? How do you want life to be different? How do you want to feel? What do you want to think? What behaviors do you want to modify? You can change anything about yourself.

This is so underutilized, hypnosis. I believe and feel that, as time goes on, hypnosis is going to gain, and gain, and gain in credibility. And appreciation. And become mainstream. There are going to be as many hypnotists and hypnosis clinics as there are pedicure and fingernail manicure shops. On every corner, practically. Or dry cleaners. Because hypnosis can help anyone do anything. That’s my belief and I’m sticking with it.” — Connie Brannan, CHt. & Licensed Trainer of NLP®

For more information as to the uses of hypnotherapeutic hypnosis, you can check out my FAQ:  http://www.mindworkshypnosis.net/faq/.  Removing fear, weight loss, quit smoking, stress release, fingernail biting, any behavioral changes, sleep improvement, improved motivation and confidence, enhanced creativity.  And more and more and more.  You name it, hypnosis helps!

I hope you enjoy learning more about hypnosis on my blog here.  We also offer full blown live hypnosis trainings, hands on, face to face experiential courses in Bellevue.  How to hypnotize. How to craft language for maximum unconscious power and change.  Instant inductions.  Silent inductions. Spontaneous hypnosis scripts flowing from your mind and not read from a piece of paper.  We have a four day training coming up.  July 9 – 12, 2015 is our “Discover the Magic Of Hypnosis” hypnotherapy training.  If you’d like to join us, we still have a few seats available.  Info is here:  http://seattlenlptraining.com/learn-hypnosis/

What is Hypnosis? — Tonight’s Webinar Answer by Connie

Connie Brannan, CHt.Transcript/excerpt of Connie Brannan answering a question: “What is Hypnosis” for webinar “Discover the Magic of Hypnosis.” broadcast June 30, 2015.

“Hi, Connie again! And now we’re going to have a brief conversation about what is hypnosis. We are assuming that you are a newcomer to this beautiful, magical, creative process called hypnosis. So, we’re going to take it from square one.

What is hypnosis? We have in our minds a conscious awareness. Awake. Aware. Living our life in the world. What we think. Logic. Reason. Evaluation. Focus. This is a conscious thing, we notice what’s around us. We notice what we can notice, and guess what? It’s a tiny, tiny bit of available information. We can only notice so much.

Hypnosis is an accessing of a different kind of consciousness, a resourceful, creative consciousness! Unconsciousness, which is also called subconscious. What it is: it’s everything else beyond that conscious awareness. You might notice one thing, two things, three things, in a moment. Your unconscious is taking in billions of pieces of information.

It is handling the processes of language. Translation. Understanding sound. The ability to speak and communicate. How to move your mouth. How to form words. Understanding. You don’t have to think about that. It has become automated, unconscious.

Unconscious mind stores your life experience in memory. It’s not a conscious memory, it’s an unconscious memory. It’s total recall. Holographic life experience. The definition of hypnosis: we get the conscious mind to step aside. Get out of our way! You’ve had your shot to solve this thing, now, step aside! When the conscious mind steps aside, it opens up a doorway into this creative, unconscious mind.

Here are some of the aspects of the conscious mind vs. the unconscious mind. Your conscious mind is analytical. Logical. Sequential. One thing at a time. Very, very limited in its focus. And it directs our day to day outcomes. Whereas, the unconscious mind is creative, unlimited and expansive. It is doing so many things, multi-functioning! It handles our feelings, our imagination. Our intuition. Our creativity. Our problem-solving ability.

And in addition to that, it’s running the body. Everything to do with the body and how it functions. Breathing and blood flow! So, now, I’m sitting here and I’m breathing. I wasn’t thinking about breathing a moment ago. And yet, it’s still happening. If I want to, I can consciously adjust my breathing. This is an example. I can breathe faster. I can breathe slower. I can breathe deeper. But if I forget all about it and stop directing it, guess what? I’m still breathing.

Unconscious mind handles digestion, and breathing, and blow flow, and healing and every process inside the body. Renewal of cells. All these things. These are unconscious processes handled by this fabulous, powerful unconscious mind. Gee! What a good thing to have on our side, huh? Talking to the unconscious mind about the things we want. That’s basically hypnosis.

You know, we talk about left brain, right brain. It’s really one mind, and it has different functions. My favorite, obviously, is your creative mind, your artistic mind. Some people say: “What’s more important, creativity or knowledge?” I believe creativity! As well as imagination. Maybe those words are synonymous.

Here’s an image and you can see:

Mind Functions and Hypnosis
Thinking, reason, linear, analytic logic. Science is on that left side there. Science, medicine, therapies that think “one size fits all,” one problem one solution. That’s not the kind of thinking that we use in hypnosis. Heck, no!

What we know in hypnosis to be true is that everyone is unique. And everybody has the ability, inside their unconscious mind to create a new world. The one they want! The one that’s joy-filled, and successful, and happy, and free, and fun, and all the things people want for themselves. It’s really accessible through this part of our mind.

So, what is hypnosis? There’s lots and lots of different definitions out there. The formal analytical one is: “It’s a bypassing of your critical factor, the conscious mind.” When you bypass, you push it aside, you go around it, you get in that door, you’re talking to the unconscious. That’s unconscious communication. That’s hypnosis!

My own definition: it’s a state of accelerated learning. Because, in this place in your mind you can make changes so fast. You can have new thoughts, new intuitions, new solutions to life’s dilemmas. And it happens at such an incredibly accelerated rate of speed. Unlike other therapies that might say to a person: “It will take months and months of hard work to make a change. Change is struggle. Change is horrendously difficult.” Well, that’s not what we believe in the world of hypnosis. We believe change is easy. And once you get into this state of mind, you have that accelerated learning available to you.

“What is hypnosis?” It’s a focused attention. It’s not sleep. Here we have an interesting word: monoideism. Focusing on a single idea. That is a good definition. However, that name itself just doesn’t sound sexy or anything. It never caught on.

We use the word “hypnosis,” Greek for “sleep.” That’s a huge myth, hypnosis is not sleep. Not in any way, shape, or form. It is a creative mind space.”

Loving the Spin I’m In – Hypnosis for Seattle

Seattle hypnotherapy
Seattle is hypnotically beautiful.

Hi, Hypnosis Friends!

Who loves Seattle? I do. As I have my entire life. I was born here! 🙂 I lived in other places for awhile, but they just didn’t cut it. Nowhere is as beautiful as Seattle, which is why I chose to come home to the Seattle area for my hypnosis business.  Take a look at this view (high definition option is best, under settings):

Here’s a view of the city one bright afternoon as seen from the Space Needle – another thing I love . A panoramic spin.  This puts me into trance!  Very hypnotic.

In our Neuro-Linguistic Hypnotherapy work, we customize new feelings for clients such that good feelings take over and the negative or unwanted feelings leave.  We capture those feelings from life experience.  As I watch this video, I’ve got a great feeling:  gratitude.  I think I’ll capture it.  🙂 So lucky to live in the most gorgeous place on earth.

All the Best,
Connie

Seattle Gray to Sun: Change is Easy

Hi, Seattle lovers everywhere!

Mindworks Hypnosis - Best Greater Seattle Hypnotherapy
Mindworks Hypnosis – Best Greater Seattle Hypnotherapy

Check out this hypnotic time-lapse video I’ve created. It’s a typical Seattle May day…murky, gray, overcast, dark. At first. Then, miraculously, things shift. The clouds blow away, and are replaced with dazzling blue skies and brilliant sunshine. What a beautiful Seattle day. Hypnotic!

And what a great metaphor.  This is the essence of hypnosis and hypnotherapy and NLP. Change. And, as this video shows, change is easy!  Troubles and problems and old habits can “blow away” as though they never even existed.  We don’t need ’em, we can get rid of them.  Easily! That’s the secret and unknown part.  Hypnosis is the tool to make it happen.

Hypnosis and NLP are really user guides for the mind.

I hope you enjoy this amazing video.  I love it, if I do say so myself.  These scenes are three different views of the same day, from atop our own Space Needle – the heart of Seattle. My favorite part is when the shadow of the Space Needle moves and elongates across the city.  We are so privileged to live in the Greater Seattle area, there’s nowhere as beautiful on earth.

All the Best,
Connie

Michelle of Sammish Shares Hypnosis for Confidence Success

She found her confidence, with Mindworks Hypnosis & NLP
She found her confidence, with Mindworks Hypnosis & NLP.

Hi, Hypnosis Friends!

Here is another Seattle area hypnosis client success story. Michelle, of Sammamish, WA, reports a “huge impact” of improved confidence after working with Mindworks Hypnosis & NLP. Now she’s free to pursue her goals. You go, girl!

Here is a brief video where she shares her comments:

Here’s the full transcript of her success report:

“Hi, I’ve had a couple sessions with Connie and have noticed a bunch of changes in just a short period of time.  The biggest change I’ve noticed is working on self doubt, motivation, confidence.  I’m pretty much not contradicting myself in my head.  Not preventing myself from doing some things that I want to do.  And that so far has had a huge impact.

Some of the things that we talked about–healthy lifestyles!  There were a couple of food vices that I had.  Soda was one of those, that I would turn to when I was stressed.  We had a session on that.  And, now, I don’t have that same stress response.  I don’t crave that soda if I’m having a bad day.  So, some big changes there.  It’s been an amazing, positive experience!

Working on confidence and healthy habits.  I’ve noticed a lot of progress.  So, there’s a motivation, a sense of enthusiasm.

So, it’s a really fun experience!  And really positive!  All in a short amount of time.  I definitely recommend Connie Brannan.”  — Michelle, Sammamish, WA.

Clients often comment how amazed they are at the speed of changes.  Yes, hypnotherapy and Neuro Linguistic Programming done right can lead to instant and continuously unfolding change.  Success! That’s our goal for every client that walks in our door.

Cindi of Kirkland Shares Hypnosis for Weight Loss Success

Seattle hypnosis for weight loss
Another happy Mindworks Hypnosis & NLP client.

Hi, Hypnosis Friends!

I love it when my hypnosis clients are thrilled with their unfolding lifestyle changes.  That makes me happy as well.  Here’s a commentary of successful changes shared by one of my weight loss hypnosis clients, Cindi, of Kirkland, Washington.  She’s lost five pounds in two weeks without “trying.”

Does skilled hypnotherapy work? Here’s more proof of the pudding.  I’m sharing a brief highlight video, as well as the full transcript of Cindi’s comments, below:

“I’m feeling great! In the last couple of weeks I’ve lost five pounds. And I don’t really feel like I’ve been “trying,” which is great! Here’s what I’m noticing:

• I’ve been waking up in the morning, and I have lots of energy.

• I’m not focused on food, which I think is really awesome for me, because that’s always been a big focus.

• I’m not eating sugar, which is a huge thing! I’ve really seen the differences in that. My skin isn’t breaking out. And I don’t have headaches, and that’s a huge thing. Because I always felt like I had allergies that were food related. I’m starting to eliminate all of that processed sugar stuff.

• No cravings for fast food whatsoever. I can drive by fast food and I’m not getting any of that, which is really great!

• I’m noticing that I’m starting to incorporate healthy foods into my diet more easily, automatically. In the past if I didn’t feel like making dinner, I would be thinking about where can I go to pick up something to eat quick. Now, what I’m doing is going into the fridge: “OK, well, I’ve got some veggies and I could do a stir fry.” and I’m whipping up a meal and I’m satisfied with it!

• Another interesting thing, is that my portions are minimal. Just regular sized portions, and I’m not hungry after I eat. I’m done! I just make my meal and I’m satisfied. And sometimes I’m even making too much food. I put it away and have something for leftovers.

So, it’s been really good! I can definitely tell that there’s a shift happening for me. For sure!

I do recommend Connie. I was one of those people that researched everything to death! I wanted to make sure that this was going to work for me. I came in and I met with Connie and I felt very comfortable. I felt in sync with Connie. And I wouldn’t do it if I didn’t feel comfortable with the person doing this process. Connie made the process really easy and simple.”  — Cindi, Kirkland, WA weight loss client testimonial 6-12-15.

Yay, Cindi!  Good job!  Now all you’ve got to do is keep it going, all the way to your ultimate healthy goals  And I know you can and you are!  What’s nice about hypnosis is that once you enter that focused on success mindset, you’re there!  You’re doing it. Healthy eating even gathers power and momentum, like a snowball rolling down the side of a snow-covered hill.  Yay, for hypnosis!

Weight loss hypnotherapy is just one of the services we offer.  Hypnosis is for everyone!  It’s for everyday people seeking everyday goals.  And it works. Find out more anytime.  Call me!  (425) 564-8608.

Change is Easy!

Change your direction any time, with Mindworks Hypnosis.
Change your direction any time, with Mindworks Hypnosis.

Hi, Seattle Hypnosis Friends!

The power of your mind is so incredible!  Here’s a quick and easy demo proving change is easy.

I invite you to check out this brief video. Is the train moving to the left into the tunnel, or to the right, emerging from if? What do you see? Cool!  Now, simply imagine that it’s moving in the opposite direction. And it does!!

Some people call this “freaky.” I call it: “control.”  We control our perceptions of the world with our mind.  And yes, it really is that easy to alter direction.  When your mind makes the leap, you see things in a new way.  And new seeing leads to new thoughts, and new beliefs, and new behaviors.  That’s the purpose of skilled hypnotherapy–assisting you in the new seeing.

I love these type of visual demos.  People start to “get it.”  That what happens between their ears is the real deal, and the real power.  If you’d like to see yourself or life in a new way, and live those changes, we can do that.  My hypnosis clinic services all the Greater Seattle area.  Call me anytime at (425) 564-8608 and we’ll get started!

All the Best,
Connie

Hypnotic Eye – Tulip Festival

Hypnotic Tulips - Michael Brannan
Photo by Michael Brannan, Finalist in the Skagit Valley Photo Competition

Hi, Hypnosis Friends!

I’m native to the Seattle area, (born in Seattle, grew up on Mercer Island).  Michael and I have lived here in the gorgeous Pacific Northwest the bulk of our lives, and have chosen this area for our NLP and hypnosis clinic and school.  Absolutely by choice! Nowhere else in the world is this beautiful.

And, living here, we love to partake of our uniquely Northwest festivals and special events.  Our trek to the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival is a much anticipated yearly event. Rows and rows and vistas of hypnotic, colorful, breathtaking tulips.  This year Michael and I took so many pictures.

The festival sponsors a photo competition, and we entered!  Michael’s amazing photograph (above) was selected as FINALIST!  Woo-hoo.  My photograph (below) was selected as JUDGES’ PICK.  Also, woo-hoo.

Hypnotic Tulips - Connie Brannan photo
Hypnotic Tulips – Connie Brannan’s photo.

What does photography have to do with hypnosis?  Quite a bit, actually.  It’s a great metaphor. Hypnosis is about seeing the successful and beautiful in yourself and your life. It’s a refocusing and a sharpening of focus, like with a camera lens. Only you’re focusing your mind.  What you focus on expands, behaviorally–so we help you focus on the things you want in such a way as you go get them!

In our hypnotherapy and NLP work, we’re effectively pulling your mind out of whatever stuck place it’s in, and accessing what’s possible.  And that’s anything.  And showing you what’s beautiful.  That’s your life.

We’re sharing our almost-prize winning photos of the tulips, here.  🙂 Hope you enjoy them!

All the Best,
Connie

Hypnosis Feels Great, Seattle!

hypnosis Seattle
The hypnotic trance chair is ready for you.

Hi, again, Hypno Friends!

Here’s a photo of my hypnosis chair, complete with spiral pillow.  I get a kick out of that pillow every time I see it!  🙂  It’s an “old-time hypnosis” symbol.  To me, it’s fun.  I call it:  Hypno-wheel.  So, this is the Hypno-wheel Pillow, sitting on the Trance Chair, my leather recliner, in my hypnotherapy office in Bellevue.  It’s waiting for you!  You don’t actually sit ON the pillow, I move it when we get down to business, it’s really for “ambiance!”  The symbol also means “infinity.”

And that makes great sense to me…as hypnosis is an ancient art.  In the time of the Egytians, they had healing “sleep temples” where hypnosis was practiced.  Hypnosis and healing, that connection has long been known.   Hypnosis has been written about by well-known psychologists of the 1800’s, including William James.  In India in the 19th century, hypnosis was used on the battlefield to help with necessary amputations–without anesthesia, without pain.

Hypnosis is not new.  But, there’s a growing awareness and acceptance in the world for hypnosis as a mainstream healing art and science, which I find wonderful.   Holly-weird has done it’s best to create fear and a negative mystique surrounding hypnosis, but the truth has a way of coming out.   And the truth about hypnosis is wonderful.  What it can do for a person, and the pleasant nature of the experience itself.

Here are some actual quotations from my clients upon emerging from trance and commenting on the experience:  “That was delightful.”  (Gene, Mercer Island)  “Wow!!”  (Monica, Bellevue, and dozens and dozens of others–this is the most common response)  “Better than sex.”  (Andy, Seattle)   “I loved it!”  (Michael, Bellevue)  “That was amazing!”  (Jennifer, Kirkland)…   Some people are speechless, but the grateful smiles on their faces speak volumes.

When you’re in trance, in hypnosis, you are connecting to the best part of yourself.  That part of you that wants success and fulfillment and thriving and good feelings!  The part of you that can make those things reality.

So, what does trance feel like?  In general, and for me personally, a  sense of well-being permeates trance, and stress packs its bags.  People do experience it differently.  To some, it’s very very similar to their natural waking state.  To some, it’s “otherworldly” and beyond words.  Some people find their limbs turning so heavy, heavy relaxed, so comfortable that they don’t want to move.  Some people feel light and floating, as though disconnected to their physical bodies.  Some people feel warmth and tinglings.  Some people get cold.  (I also offer “the dream blanket” during trancework.)  It has also been likened to those transitional moments before sleep.

We experience naturally-occurring trance doing everyday, just-living-our-lives things.  Reading a book, playing on the computer, driving a car, daydreaming, watching television.   It’s nothing “woo-woo,” and it’s nothing bizarre.  It’s just us, activating our minds in a specific, natural way.  What’s cool, what’s magical, is how we can use this “hypnosis state of mind” to create change in ourselves and in our lives.  When you apply hypnosis, for a desired outcome, guided by a professional, that’s what is called hypnotherapy.  That’s what I do.

So, if you’re still wondering:  “What does trance feel like?  And what can it do for me?”  I’d like to show you.  http://www.mindworkshypnosis.net  Call me and I’ll be happy to meet with you and tell you more.

Warm Regards,
Connie

Greater Seattle Hypnosis Clinic

Hypnotherapy NLP Office

Hi, Seattle Hypnosis Friends!

One of the (ridiculous) myths of hypnosis is that it’s something dark and scary and otherwordly. Hollywood movies conjure up frightening images of hypnosis done by strange men wearing dracula capes in dim, shrouded basements.  Accompanied by the sounds of maniacal laugher.  “I control their minds!!  I control their minds!!”

Uh, no!  That’s not what it is.

The reality?  Hypnosis is a type of super-accelerated effective communication.  Ideas are shared with the problem-solving part of the mind, and it gets to work creating change. It’s comfortable, it’s fun, it’s pleasant.  And professionals do it in professional spaces.

I’ve created a brief video below to share my Bellevue office space with you.  I LOVE my office, it reflects how I approach this work.  The key word is “professionalism.”  Take a peek:

Some part-time hobbyist “hypnotists” in the Seattle area don’t think an office is necessary. They do sessions over the telephone, while they’re sitting in their bedroom painting their toenails.  Here’s what I say about phone “sessions” on my FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions about Hypnosis) page:

“Hypnosis and NLP work is most effective face-to-face, which is why we don’t recommend  internet or phone sessions.  We don’t go for “watered down.”  We want your success!  Our work is interactive communications, and very hands on.  Verbal (sound) alone is a tiny, tiny bit of information being conveyed, we use the full spectrum of communications information, using ALL the senses, going in both directions.  Some of our favorite and most effective NLP techniques involve touch.  You can’t do touch over the phone.  Hypnosis deepening techniques also involve touch.”

Effectiveness!  Super important.  Professionalism.  It’s also super important.  We’re talking about your mind and your life and your goals being met.  You want someone fully committed to this work and your success. A hypnotherapist who maintains a private, professional office space is a positive indicator that you’ve found someone who is serious about the work. Hypnosis (and that includes NLP) is my full-time career, my passion, not just something I’m  doing “on the side” for a few bucks, like others in the Seattle area. Those people are hobbyists.  Not real hypnotists.  Not professionals.

When I was shopping for office spaces in the Seattle area, I was shocked at how many spaces were drab and dreary and noisy.  Shared spaces.  Closed-in rooms, with no light and no positive energy.  Not acceptable!  I chose a totally private office in Bellevue, it’s a positive energy space, in a beautiful, green park-like setting, close to the city and freeways and yet has a serene feel of “a world away.”  And I’ve filled my space with life and color and many, many pieces of fine art.  This is a space where I do “my art.”  That’s hypnosis and NLP and more.

Come see the hypnosis office in Bellevue for yourself.  We do offer free private in person consultations.  Like anything, it’s more beautiful in person.

Connie

Creative Mind Hypnosis to Stop Smoking, Seattle!

Hi, Seattle Hypnosis Friends!  I love this cover art from my newest “explaining hypnotherapy in a minute or less” video, which I share below:

It’s a beautiful illustration of the human mind.  Everybody talks about “right brain” vs. “left brain.” Well, it’s all one mind and it works together wonderfully well blending the analytic with the creative.  All of it is important, and it’s all useful to us in order to live a balanced, successful life.

However….

My passion lives in the colorful side.  My work is art, and yes, I’m an artist.  My palette is imagination, and emotion and sound and color, and vivid mind images created by words. I grew up in the Seattle area and my dad was an engineer at Boeing, and a brilliant man, very analytical. My mom was a professional artist and poet, and lived passion and creativity.  I feel like I’ve inherited a mind that is the best of both of them.  Yay, me!  🙂  It helps me in my work to help you!

Here is a brief, new video I created today explaining how hypnosis relaxes the thinking mind and stimulates the creative mind–in this instance, for smoking cessation.  The same processes can be used to achieve anything!  Because you have more power than you think, especially when you don’t think.  As our genius buddy, Albert Einstein, liked to say:  “You can’t solve a problem with the same thinking that created it.”

Your mind on hypnosis: CREATIVE!

The absolute premise of this work is: “Yes, you can!” I help you access the creative problem-solving aspects of your brain to do it.  We can get started any time, for quitting smoking or any other desired life changes.  My office is in Bellevue, WA, and I service all of the Greater Seattle Metropolitan area.

Here’s to the amazing power of your mind!

Connie Brannan, CHt.All the Best,
Connie

Hypnosis is Meditation on Steroids

Hypnosis unlocks your power of mind!Hi, Hypnosis Friends!

Michael and I are offering 4 Power of Mind Workshops next month in the Seattle area, Bellevue, WA to be specific. It’s a great way for people to learn amazing empowerment techniques and ideas at an affordable cost in a tiny chunk of time. One Day!

These are all one-day “taster” seminars offered through the private career school side of my work: http://seattlenlptraining.com/day-seminars/.  In the workshops we explain, demo and the students play with NLP, Neuro-Linguistic Programming (the Art & Science of Excellence).

Michael and I are also offering one seminar on Self Hypnosis, which has caught my attention and prompted me to post.  Every time I teach self hypnosis at Bellevue College, someone asks me:  “Well, how is self hypnosis different from meditation?”  I’ve thought of a great answer:  hypnosis takes it to the next level, with an added oomph for success. Hypnosis is “meditation on steroids.”  And you can quote me!  🙂

Meditation IS a kind of hypnosis, where the goal seems to be to achieve the state of quiet mind and roll around in it–hoping some good things spontaneously generate.  And they probably will!  What’s different about self hypnosis?  Hypnotherapy and self hypnosis use this state of mind targeted for strategic change:  GOALS. With self hypnosis, you’re telling your mind to DO something, to create a specific outcome for your life, whether it be healthier habits or a new body shape, or accelerated healing, or becoming multi-lingual quickly, etc. etc. etc.  Here the etcs are endless.

Yay, for the brain, and it’s very agreeable nature!

At Bellevue College I teach a snippet of this material, as the time allows there.  NOW, Michael and I are teaching this together through our own school, Mindworks NLP, and are offering it to you in an expanded format.  An all day event.  It’s slated for June 20th.  More info is here:  http://seattlenlptraining.com/day-seminars/

Hypnosis is one of my great loves.  I have another:  NLP.  Here’re the other courses we’re offering next month:

Power of Mind Workshops

NLP for Personal Development: June 6, 2015
Rapport & Relating, NLP for Dating: June 13, 2015
Self Hypnosis: June 20, 2015

How Old Do I Look? Thinner is Younger!

weight age2Hi, My Seattle Area (and beyond) Hypnosis Friends!

In a world obsessed with youthful appearance, here’s more evidence to prove something we’ve all suspected: being overweight makes you look older.  Overweight adds years to your appearance.  And of course, it makes you feel older, slower, and creakier, with less energy.

On Facebook, I found this very cool program from Microsoft, and I immediately started playing with it.   “How Old Do I Look?”  It’s an age old question (pun) filled with appeal.  We all want to know that!

It kind of reminds me of the old carnival barkers who would guess your weight or age, only more scientific!  Here, you plug in any pics of yourself, and the facial recognition algorithms estimate your age.  In Microsoft’s formal lingo:  “Part of Microsoft Project Oxford, Face APIs provide state-of-the-art algorithms to process face images, like face detection with gender and age prediction, recognition, alignment and other application level features.”

In the pictures of me in the video below, one heavier, one thinner, you can see what the age-detecting-robots thought.  Heavier is seen as older!   In truth, in the thinner picture, I’m two years older than the other pic.   The algorithm says:  the same face thinner looks younger!  And I agree!

Ladies (and men) of a certain age are doing whatever they can to keep a young, vibrant, youthful appearance–for better relationships, for business success, for everyday walking around in the world.  They may choose to go under the knife, and get a facelift, or they may color away their gray hair, or they may resort to botox injections to erase lines and wrinkles.

How about a healthy alternative for a youthful face?  Lose weight!   Nothing glows YOUTH like health–and thinner is healthier.

Healthy Eating with Mindworks Hypnosis SeattleI know what you’re thinking.  But, but, but, it’s hard to lose weight.  What if it wasn’t hard? What if there were an easy way to focus your mind and change your body and reclaim your youthful appearance? There is.  It’s called…wait for it…HYPNOSIS!  There are numerous motivations for change.  My clients tell me what they want by way of losing weight, and looking younger is absolutely on the list.

Let’s do it.  The clock is ticking.  Call me and we’ll get started:  (425) 564-8608  Come on out to Bellevue for your free consultation.  I help people lose weight, that’s one of my prime areas of expertise.  You can check out either of my websites for more info:  http://www.mindworkshypnosis.net and http://www.loseweightseattle.com.

Here’s to a healthy, happy, youthful life!

Featured Testimonial – Goodbye Anxiety & Depression

Hi, Seattle Hypnosis Friends!

I’ve had a lot of clients over the years, and I’ve helped with every variety of context and situation of desired change from weight loss to anxiety release to help with addictions, to sports improvement, to quitting smoking, and more.  Some clients stick out as memorable, because of their willingness to “go for it” and cooperation, some for their incredible successes.  Karel was both of those things.

Karel shared her thoughts about our work on Google with a 5-star review of Mindworks Hypnosis & NLP:

“Connie Brannan has helped me change the way I think about myself and my life. I saw her primarily for help with weight loss, but I ended up realizing many other positive changes at the same time. I was surprised and so pleased with the lasting results of my sessions: ability to concentrate on the way I wanted to eat, improvement in my personal relationships, and a completely rejuvenated interest in life.

After 20+ years of severe depression, I was amazed to find that I was free of it after just a single session. I am so grateful that I had the good sense to see Connie, and I recommend her services to anyone who wants similar improvements in their life.”  – Karel Creason, Bellevue, WA.

And she wrote to me a few years later, offering this follow-up.

“Hello, Connie, I want to give you an update on the changes in my life since I saw you in February 2012.  I have continued to benefit from my freedom from depression…

I also have been able to handle a number of emotionally difficult situations which, in the past, would have had me reeling. What a great improvement. I no longer become paralyzed with grief, fear, or anger when I learn of family illness, marital problems, self-esteem issues, etc.

These changes are because you told my subconscious what to do to make me live the way I want to. I have always held to your phrase that if something I think or believe isn’t useful in my life, get rid of it. What a concept!

In addition to letting you know how I’m doing myself, I wanted to let you know that I referred 2 of my friends to you, and they both have reported great happiness with what you did for them. ”  — Karel Creason , Bellevue, WA

Yay, Karel.  Keep living your life on your own terms, with joy and a sense of your own power to make life better.

This sentence of Karel’s sums up the power of creative, skilled NLP and hypnosis:  “After 20+ years of severe depression, I was amazed to find that I was free of it after just a single session.”  We ALL have this kind of transformational power residing in our unconscious minds–it’s merely a matter of effective and persuasive communications. That’s what skilled hypnosis is, opening up the door and engaging in effective communications with the unconscious mind, and offering up new choices, stimulating new habits and patterns of living.

As I said to Karel and I often say to clients when I’m happy with the shifts happening:  “High five to the unconscious mind!”

All the Best,
Connie

An Extra Piece of Chicken

Hi, Hypnosis Friends!

I’ve added another article that I’ve written to our Mindworks Hypnosis & NLP website.  I invite you to check it out, and several other articles I’ve written and share there.  I explain some of the unique tools and processes I utilize in my work for greater client success levels. Because, as we all know, the proof of a service well done is in the pudding.  It’s in my client successes out in the world after going for it with me in my Bellevue hypnosis clinic.  Here’s the article:

Feel Great and Choose New Behaviors. Many years ago, when I worked as an Office Manager for a building services company, I had a great boss.  He taught me a lot about successful business including the concept:  “give them an extra piece of chicken.”  Give your clients more than they expect, give them something above and beyond the services they’ve contracted for.  In addition to office cleaning, he might offer to shampoo carpet for the suite, or have the exterior windows cleaned at no additional charge.

An extra piece of chicken.  I have built that idea into my Neuro-Linguistic Hypnotherapy clinical work as well.  I give clients something extra, beyond what they came if for.  I give them a gift called:   self control.  Or, in other words, control of self.  Control of state of mind and body, control of your responses, control of your experience of LIFE!  I call it:  The keys to the Kingdom.

If you can control how you feel, you control how you will respond and interact in any given moment.  If you can control how you feel, you can control the very thoughts that run in your mind.  You begin to think differently about yourself!    You create new, empowered beliefs.  You move from an “I can’t” mentality to an empowered place called Choice.  Rather than a cork bobbing on the emotional life of the sea, you’re at the wheel, driving the powerboat on a course you set.  Full speed ahead!

And I give this power to clients to take home with them beyond our work in the office.  It’s called an “NLP Anchor.”  Using “Designer Feelings™” we create a desired state of mind and body and belief.  It’s unique for the person, purpose and goals at hand, whether it be as an antidote to anxiety, fear, laziness, smoking, overeating, distraction, etc.  We work to automate the changes inside the mind, so they become the automatic new feeling in the contexts under discussion, and the automatic new thinking and new behaviors.

AND we give ongoing self control, as our extra piece of chicken.

lightswitch onWhat is an anchor?  It’s a physiological stimulus-response we set up in the body/mind.  Think:  light switch.  On!  Activated, It quickly brings about the desired and designed feelings into the body.   How cool is that?  And you control this switch.  That mechanism  can be set up as a touch, or a phrase spoken, an image conjured in the mind, a gesture.  I’ve had clients call it “my calm button,” “my confidence trigger,” my “go for it,” a little girl called it “my happy magic finger trick.,”   It’s not magic, it’s one technique among many in NLP.  And it’s amazingly powerful to all who experience it.

Here’s an example:  a person might come in for hypnosis services to address stress eating.  We create the antidote to stress.  Perhaps it’s a feeling blended of calm, confident, and happy.   We automate new unconscious responses that replace stress and replace stress eating.  Goodbye, stress eating, and goodbye to overweight!  Goal met, happy client!

However, this new feeling, this NLP anchor, has a greater utility than just food.  Perhaps there are other times and places where calm, confident and happy might be useful to our hypothetical client.  Perhaps giving a presentation at work.  Great!  Perhaps for golf excellence.  Great!  With the anchor, a person has control.  And can initiate the good feelings, anytime, anywhere.  Power.  Almost every client that leaves my office is given a custom designed anchor and instructions in how to use and activate!

As I said:  the keys to the Kingdom.  This is beyond price.  Because these anchors last forever, with the proper use.  And I explain the proper use.

NLP done right, it’s beyond awesome.  What’s sad about NLP Neuro-Linguistic Programming is that so few people understand what it truly is, and how to use it–including people who purport to offer it therapeutically, and even those who teach it.  NLP done poorly from a place of only partial understanding may still have some utility, but not much.

Perhaps it’s like the difference between a genuine diamond and a “faux diamonelle.”   There’s high quality “real deal” product and there’s cheaper, inferior, imitation product.  I offer the real deal, as a Licensed Trainer of NLP® through the Society of NLP® — I’m taught and certifed by the originator of NLP, Dr. Richard Bandler.

Feeling is believing, and we’ve developed and trademarked the ultimate great “Designer Feelings™ process.” Designer Feelings™ are available only at our hypnosis clinic, Mindworks Hypnosis & NLP.  They activate automatically in the contexts desired, and are forevermore available to you as a source of self control.  Call us at (425) 564-8608 and find out more anytime!

Connie

Skill Beyond CDs – Best Greater Seattle Hypnotherapy & NLP

Hi, Seattle Hypnosis Friends!

I’ve written another article for my website called “Skill Beyond CDs.”  I’m sharing it here as well.  🙂  I’ve explained this idea one on one in my hypnosis & NLP consultations, however, perhaps it’s time to share it bigger.

A prospective client came in for her consultation yesterday.  In our Q&A, she asked me: “Are you going to give me an audio CD of our session that I have to listen to?”  I said, “No way!  I don’t do that, because you don’t need to do that.”  She heaved a giant sigh of relief, a prior hypnotist had tortured her in that way.  I explained more:  “When this work is done well, change is automated.  That means it sticks and grows even more powerful on its own.  Today, and tomorrow.  Without you needing to listen to a CD.”

The fact is, hypnosis is a self-regulated profession.  In the Seattle area, and in Washington State, there are no certification requirements, beyond a simple registration process.  Anyone can do this work, trained or untrained, skilled or unskilled, creatively imaginative or reading from a script book.  Every hypnotist has chosen and pursued a different level of training, and has achieved a different skill set, as well as coming to the game with a different  level of native intelligence and creativity.

Every hypnotist has a different mindset as well, as to the power of these tools for personal and positive change.  Some hypnotists are believers, and some are doubters.

Doubters give CDs.  Giving a client a CD recording of the session gives its own NEGATIVE and damaging hypnotic message:  our work isn’t enough to be successful.  Wow, what a stupid thing to communicate to a client–creating an expectation that change is difficult.  Yes, our work is enough to be successful!  IF the skill set is there in the first place to create and install ongoing change rapidly.

This work is all about utilizing the unconscious mind to make change.  Unconscious means outside of conscious awareness.  Thinking and remembering to make time to listen to an audio recording of your session involves your conscious mind.  When the conscious mind is involved, this work is less powerful and less successful.  Good hypnosis requires no “homework.”

A somewhat rude novice hypnotist asked me one day:  “If you’re not going to make CDs, how are YOU going to compete?”  The answer is (without giving away the unique processes I have created to help people change), by creating more success for clients WITHOUT making them listen to a CD.  It wouldn’t have been polite to say:  “Because I’m better and smarter than you at this work and I’ve created something different that’s even more powerful.”

Here’s a story I like to tell to illustrate these ideas from my own personal experience.  I used to have an extreme spider phobia.  In addition to being deathly afraid of spiders, I was constantly worried about seeing one and was always on the lookout.  This pattern lasted in me for over 30 years!

Guess what?  I didn’t have to do anything or listen to a CD to keep that fear in place.  It’s just who I was and how I responded in the world.  It was an unconscious strategy in my mind.  Not a useful one.  With NLP, that strategy became changed in me in a one event new learning.  I was changed.  Effective immediately, there was no fear of spiders.  It’s been 9 years now, and I’ve never had to “listen to a CD” to keep that change.  It’s just who I am and how I respond in the world.  With calm where fear used to be.  That’s effective change.  That’s what I strive for in my office.  Automated change that does not involve your conscious mind expending energy where it’s not needed.

So my advice, toss the session CDs and find a hypnotist actually skilled enough to help you face to face!

Albert Einstein Must Have Been a Hypnotist!

Who knew? Al is expressing here the very idea that makes hypnosis & NLP powerful and successful. And I KNOW he’s right and that those words are true: “Imagination is more powerful than knowledge.”

Here’s an example of how I know:  When I had a spider phobia, I had all the knowledge in the world as to when and where and why and how that fear of spiders got installed in me–it happened one spring day at the elementary bus stop on Mercer Island talking to a girl named Paige. That knowledge did nothing to alleviate the ongoing fear. The extremely unpleasant and inconvenient panic responses in me lasted for decades!!!   Until that amazing and fortuitous day in 2006 when Hypnosis & NLP got rid of my fear.  In about 15 minutes.  Wow.  I’m still living that success now, since skepticism got tossed out the window.  I know how I feel and I know how I’m living. Free from spider fear.  Yay!

These tools called hypnosis & NLP, when wielded skillfully and creatively, help create new worlds–the ones we want for ourselves.  We create them in our minds first, then in the world.  Imagination is key.  And yes, you have it.  It’s called your creative unconscious mind.  We tap into that problem-solving and happy-choosing ability that you have.

Mindworks Hypnosis & NLP has been operating successfully in the Seattle area for 8+ years now–growing our success, one mind at a time. There’s a reason we have over 160 joy-filled testimonials on our website.  We understand the connection between imagination and action.  And we can activate that change in you!  Anytime you like!

Creative Hypnosis for Quitting Smoking!

Quit Smoking Seattle HypnosisHi, Hypnosis Friends!

Here’s a story to share with you, all about the hypnotic power of a half-eaten rotten banana.

I was working with a Seattle man the other day on quitting smoking. One of the elements of this work is our search for a useful feeling called “hell, no!” This gentleman, his “Hell, no!” was the thought of eating a rotten banana–he declared it the worst disgust feeling he could conjure. Coincidence, and propinquity! I had a half eaten well-past-its-prime squishy black banana in my trash can at the office at that very moment. I fished it out and we gave him several good whiffs, while I used my hypnotic tool kit to set that disgust equal to smoking. He’s done with cigarettes. Cravings are dead.

Long live the rotten banana!  And long live the happy and healthy nonsmoker.

At the same time, and on the flip side of the coin, we also customized some powerful, good Designer Feelings™ in place of smoking, and attached those to undo the habit.  Wonderful feelings that encourage healthy:  calm, contentment, in control, and so on.  Just as what generates disgust is unique person to person, so, too are the good feelings which can kick smoking desire to the curb.  We explore and generate both in our Greater Seattle hypnotherapy center.

There’s a science and methodology to Neuro Linguistic hypnotherapy blended with fun and creativity, and, guess what?  It works!  For quitting smoking, as well as a variety of other positive changes.  Are you ready to quit smoking?  Let’s do it!  Call me and let’s get started.

All the Best,
Connie

“Anxiety is totally gone!” Pam’s Success with Mindworks Hypnosis & NLP.

Hi, Hypnosis Friends!

I’m always pleased when a client is so happy with my work that he/she agrees to comment publicly on the power of hypnotherapy and NLP done right.  Here’s a video testimonial of success from a recent client, Pam Parsons, of Issaquah, WA.  She reports that anxiety is “Totally gone.”  Yay!

Pam decided to feel differently, and move ahead in life.  She chose to feel:  “calm, confident, worthy, driven, and courageous.”  The tools and techniques I use helped her to do just that.  We create new Designer Feelings™, and replace the unwanted feelings, and automate that process for the future, which we call Designer Beliefs ™.  Powerful stuff! Fabulous stuff.  Life-changing stuff. Pam knows.

A man I met recently asked me a question.  He said, at the end of your life, are you going to be able to say with authority and truth that you lived the life you wanted?  That you mattered, that you made a positive difference in the world, that you loved fully, that you lived fully?  I know my answer is going to be:  YES!  I love helping people, and I’m doing it. I’m living my passion.  I’m also happy that I’m helping other people to have a more wonderful life and be able to answer that question themselves in the affirmative, too.

“This works!!! I dubbed Connie “my fairy godmother” because I can’t believe how fast and easy and brilliant her techniques work. I went to her for severe anxiety, one session I was handling the challenges in my life without panic attacks. I went back for insomnia, after one session I was sleeping like a sweet little creature curled up in pillows. There have been other side benefits of my work with her that include confidence and getting my sense of humor back. I highly respect this woman – her integrity, her talents, her heart and how effective her work has been in my life. I can not say enough about how easy, natural and powerful hypnosis and NLP are. I recommend her highly and am grateful to have met her and have worked with her.” — Joy Epstein, Sun City, AZ

“Connie treated me for fear of flying, and I cannot praise her enough! I had previously been hypnotized for this by someone else and it did not work. Connie was warm, kind, and very personable. I am an avid flyer and not only do I take a window seat, but I actually enjoy staring out into the sky!  She is worth every penny and then some!”  –  Kristen Halley, Edmonds, WA

“Without exaggeration Connie literally changed my life. She helped me stop smoking after only 3 sessions (I smoked for 18 years). She also cured my big fear of fish and water after only one session, from the stage where I couldn’t watch a deep ocean documentary on TV, to having the courage and even enjoy going in a submarine in deep water to watch fishes and under-water life, that to me is day and night. Before I met Connie, I couldn’t even think of going to aquarium or swim in the beach. AND YES IT’S WORTH EVERY PENNY. Connie is professional, she will listen to you carefully and will guide you to make the changes you want, and she’s good at what she does. We just moved out of the state, and I will miss seeing her. Thank you Connie for doing such a wonderful job!”  — A Google User, Seattle, WA

“I was at a proverbial crossroads in my life and knew it was time to make some changes, examine my ambitions & goals and move bravely forward into my future – perhaps an entirely new future. However, before I could do that, I needed to release some patterns & beliefs that had been holding me back. When I discovered Mindworks, I suspected it could be ideal for my needs. One consultation with Connie and I knew I had found the perfect place and the perfect person to help me. I was immediately at ease with Connie. Her ability to compassionately and skillfully blend techniques of NLP and hypnosis allows the client to discover solutions to their own issues and problems.  I trust her. I believe in her and the tools that she passionately & masterfully uses to guide you to your own truth.”  –Kerry D., Kent, WA

“I went to see Connie to quit smoking. The experience was very positive. Connie was very explanatory so I knew exactly what to expect when I sat in the chair. She explained how hypnosis worked and told me exactly what she would do while I was hypnotized. Connie helped me reach my goal. I walked out of her office a non-smoker and three months later, I am still smoke free. I would recommend her services to anyone.”  — Jenny Rivera, Bellevue, WA

“Connie, I can’t begin to thank you for the ways you’ve made things better for me. I originally sought out Mindworks as the result of a glowing recommendation from a trusted friend and health professional in an effort to curb my neurotic eating. Connie was wonderfully professional and patient with me even when I lost confidence in myself or the process. I was able to dramatically reduce my nervous/neurotic eating, let go of self-loathing thoughts, gain some peace with difficult parent relationships and feel so much more hopeful and positive about the direction in which I was headed. I absolutely plan to return to do a little more mental house-cleaning and have recommended her to several others.” — A Google User, Seattle, WA

“I cannot even begin to say all I want to say about Connie and the work she does at Mindworks Hypnosis. I’ve worked with Connie on a couple different occasions, and she has changed my life completely. There have been so many things she has helped me with. I first sought her out for my fear of spiders, and she blew my mind. Fearful my entire life to being able to squash them no matter the size!! I went to her for my lack of energy and enthusiasm for working out and losing weight. I’ve lost 50lbs and am now 10lbs from my goal! I had knee problems for over a year on my right knee. Connie did some Reiki on it, and immediately the pain and stiffness was GONE, never to return. Since learning her relaxation techniques, I can fall asleep within minutes instead of lying awake in bed. By using her techniques for triggering my brain, I went from a 5 year straight smoker to now almost 5 months as a nonsmoker! Connie is patient, she listens, and she knows how to help you get past the road blocks, no matter the size. I’ve recommended her in the past and I will continue to do so in the future!”  –Nichole V, Mercer Island, WA

“I went to a seminar Connie led at Bellevue College TELOS programs. I was struck at one by her innate kindness and her genuine concern for all of us in the class. I was so helped that I signed up for her training program so that I could give others the type of amazing, healing experiences I was having. As a person who has ben a teacher since 1967, I have run and been in over 350 credit hours worth of classes. I can say very honestly, I have never had such outstanding teachers before, and doubt I will see many even half as good in the future! Everyday I face and do things I never believed possible before. I know I sound over the top, but I am so happy with her services that over the top is the only way to go.”  –Gaia Hawkin, Kirkland, WA

Designer Feelings

Hi, Hypnosis & NLP Friends!

Would you like some insider-secrets to the work I do at Mindworks Hypnosis & NLP?  When I meet a client, one of the first questions I ask during the info gathering portion of our work is:  “How would you rather feel?”  What specific, explicit state of mind and body, aka mood, would be useful to you in the context under discussion?

The right frame of mind is essential to success in any human endeavor.   A golfer might need focus and calm, and strength.  A person who is speaking in public might need clear-minded, articulate, and a sense of fun.  A person boarding an airplane might need a feeling of relaxation, security, and optimism.  Intimate moments might need confidence, joy, and playfulness.  A business person working a new project might need motivation, energy, and creativity.

License Plate2Michael and I are trained as Design Human Engineers™ as well as Licensed Trainers of NLP ®.  Here’s one of the things we love to do with those tools at Mindworks Hypnosis & NLP:  we custom-design and create with you new feelings.

And then we attach those new feelings where they are useful.  We transform a problematic state of mind and body, such as fear, uncertainty, sadness, I can’t do it, lethargy, hopeless, etc. into power and joy and success generators.

Dr. Bandler (the co-originator of NLP, and the man who has licensed us as his Trainers) has a wonderful saying:  “Good feelings, good decisions.  Bad feelings, bad decisions.” That is so true!  We’ll help you create those good feelings.  When you change how you feel, you change how you think, and you change what you do in the world.  It’s all connected.

SoupThe way I explain this to clients, I have them imagine we’re making soup:  We toss into the pot all sorts of good things, veggies, herbs, spices, etc.  We simmer and the flavors merge and meld and create something wonderful.  So, too, we create for you designer feelings.  We can create in these blends feelings you’ve never even experienced in the world.  You can now.

How would YOU rather feel?  Here’s a sampling of the power feelings you can choose from:

  • Confident
  • Calm, Relaxed
  • Happy
  • Successful
  • In Control
  • Who Cares?/Indifference
  • Not my Problem
  • Self Esteem (otherwise known as “Yay, Me!”)
  • Optimistic
  • Freedom
  • Security
  • Loved/Loving
  • Connection
  • Creative
  • Clear-Minded
  • Peaceful
  • Satisfied
  • Capable/I Can Do It!
  • Acceptance
  • Articulate
  • Carefree
  • Having Fun
  • Motivated/Go For It!
  • No Way!/Aversion
  • Passion/Engaged with Life
  • Healthy/Strong
  • Forgiveness
  • Patience
  • Trust
  • Energetic
  • Humor

This is only a partial “menu” of items that can go into your customized, designer feeling. Then we do the work (using NLP) to attach this new power state to the times/places/interactions where you want the feeling.  Bottom line:  we get to CHOOSE how we feel.  What a life-transforming, power-filled idea.

Seattle Hypnosis Success – She’s the Skinny Hug Grandma Now

Carol Haugen

When you’re excited about something, you know what? It shows!

Carol Haugen of Renton, WA, is surprised at how well hypnosis works for weight loss.  After a couple sessions, she’s on a new path: minus 5 pounds so far, working out, down a belt notch, clothes looser, and her granddaughter reports that a recent “hug” shows her that Grandma is getting thinner.

There’s all kinds of ways to measure weight loss success, and the number on the scale is just one of them.

Here’s Carol sharing what she’s noticing so far after our work at Mindworks Hypnosis & NLP for weight loss hypnotherapy.  And what she’s really noticing is:  it’s so easy.  Amazingly so.  That’s the power of the mind, when properly focused.

If you’re interested in losing weight, getting healthy and adopting new healthy lifestyle changes, we can help.  We do offer a free in-office private consultation if you’d like to learn more about what this thing called “hypnosis” REALLY is.  You’ll be surprised.  It’s something wonderful, and not at all like the picture painted by TV and movies.  Carol knows!

The Empowerment of Marian

I love when I see people changing right before my eyes.  A recent weight loss client, Marian Zappala, of Redmond, WA is having wonderful changes through the work we’re doing: hypnosis and NLP.  She’s becoming powerful, and losing weight along the wayl!

Marian is a lovely, intelligent lady who needed more confidence in herself.  Now she’s got that.  After two sessions, she reports that she’s already lost 4 pounds.  Here’s what she says about what she’s noticing:

“I was an emotional eater.  Since I’ve started the process of hypnosis I have felt more confident, more relaxed, and more in control of my life.  And, through this process I have let go of those things that were controlling me, like irritability, boredom, stress,  and I now have managed my eating patterns.  I’ve lost 4 pounds so far.”

I no longer crave sweets, breads, or the carbs that were making me more tired, more heavy,  and more irritable.  I’m feeling more confident!  And I see that it’s almost unconscious that I’m making these decisions to not eat the bread, the pasta, the rice.  And definitely I’m eating smaller portions!  The other night for dinner I chose to have just vegetables, and I was not hungry later.   When I woke up in the morning, I was hungry but I didn’t want or get any bread.  Which is a miracle!”

Food choice changes, yay!  However, self image changes:  super yay!  Here is what Marian says about how she feels more empowered in her life, even beyond just this weight management goal.

“The idea of “I’m not good enough” has been completely destroyed.

I feel more armed for the world, better prepared. My confidence, my ability to manage stressful situations  is back to where it used to be, like 15 years ago.  So now I feel that it’s just a matter of time for me to achieve the weight loss that I want to have for myself.

I’m really happy about all these changes.

I definitely recommend Connie!  You’ll have to come and try it!  You’ll see that even in just one session you can feel a difference in your mood and your attitude towards making changes in your life regardless of what the change is.  The process is very easy.  Connie helps me through all the steps.  It’s funny at times.  It’s something that I think anybody who has an open mind to a change in their life can embrace.”  –Marian Zappala, PHd., Redmond, WA.

Marian came in for weight loss, and that’s happening.  Losing weight and finding so much more.  I’m enjoying seeing this empowerment of Marian.  More!  We want more.

When I help people with weight management, we look at everything–and as we begin the work I ask about 1/2 hour’s worth of questions as to existing habits and patterns.  My questions are not JUST about the food and exercise habits–they’re also about emotions, beliefs, and self image.   I see what needs tweaking for optimal success.  And then we go for it.  Creative hypnotherapy and Neuro-Linguistic Programming.  It works.

Another 5-Star Google Review for Mindworks Hypnosis & NLP and an End to Anxiety.

Hi, Hypnosis Friends and Enthusiasts!

I had a favorite TV show years ago, called “The X-Files.”  There was a catch-phrase popularized by that show:  “The truth is out there!”  Well, yes it is!

What is the truth about the positive healing power of my blend of Neuro-Linguistic Hypnotherapy?  I share lots and lots of success stories on my website HERE!  Beyond that, however, there’s more!  Check out the newest “5-stars out of 5” review about my services which has recently been posted on google by a client:

“This works!!! I dubbed Connie “my fairy godmother” because I can’t believe how fast and easy and brilliant her techniques work. I went to her for severe anxiety, one session and I was handling the challenges in my life without panic attacks.

If you have tried everything, stop struggling and go see Connie!”  — Marcela Kenevan, Gig Harbor, WA.

Thank you, Marcela!  Your success makes me so happy, and I say:  “High Five! to the unconscious mind!”

Hypnosis (and NLP–my favorite variety of hypnosis) have been misunderstood and under-estimated by the majority of the world for at least my lifetime.  One of my personal and professional goals is that the truth finds its way out there, client by client, success story by success story, one mind at a time.  And it is!

The Mind is Flexible – Changes in Seeing

Hi, Hypnosis Friends!

It appears the internet today is fascinated with THIS dress:

What color is this dress?
What color is this dress?

Is it blue with black trim or white with gold trim?

When I first glanced at the picture the answer was obvious to me:  white and gold.  Then I read an article about the hubbub over the color.  I looked again at the pic, and lo and behold, I saw it as blue and black.  I can make it flip in my mind.  Right now it’s white and gold again.  🙂

What color do you see?

This is evidence of the power of the mind to create reality.  The dress is a thing.  It exists.  It has color properties.  However, we can see it in different ways.  Just so the situations and stories of our life.

Are we anxious or are we excited?  They feel similar in the body–it’s how we label them to ourselves that matters.  Is saying “NO!” stubbornness?  Or is it independence?  Is that little girl bossy, or is she showing leadership qualities?  We choose how we look at things.

Now, as I write this, looking up again, the dress is blue and black.  🙂  When I was a kid I loved optical illusions, I had books and books of them.  I still do love them.  They are not really illusions, however, they are mind choices in seeing.  And there’s always more than one option.

This “dressgate” situation reminds me of the spinning dancer phenomenon.  Is she twirling clockwise or counterclockwise?  Depending on which foot you see her as standing on, she spins the other direction.  It’s wild.  It’s the power of the mind to “see” differently.  Stare at her and see if you can get her to change.  I can!  🙂

Spinning_Dancer

Maybe the world and “reality” as we see it is not so rigid as we think.  And this is wonderful, actually.  It means we are in control and can change meanings as useful.

This is part and parcel of hypnosis & NLP.  It’s called “reframing.”  Seeing things in a new way that make us feel better, think better, choose better actions.

I can help you do that!

All the Best, Connie

Grow Your Happy with Mindworks Hypnosis & NLP Seattle

Last year in March, the world celebrated happy, with the International Day of Happiness. Here’s a video which shares that exuberant joy.

I think we should do more of that, celebrating joy and feeling happy.  🙂  I think happiness is too big and wonderful to contain within a single calendar day, and should be welcomed and lived every day.  What kind of a world would it be if people were HAPPY every day?  A different world, a better world.  Because…

In the words of the developer of NLP and my favorite teacher, Dr. Richard Bandler:  “Good feelings, good decisions.  Bad feelings, bad decisions.”  My work is all about good feelings, and making them unconsciously automated.  That’s hypnosis and NLP.  When you feel good, you think differently, and you act differently in ways that are useful to you.  NLP Neuro-Linguistic Programming is a high tech hypnosis described as “The Art & Science Of Excellence,”–and I am so pleased to have achieved the status of Licensed Trainer of NLP ® through Dr. Bandler.

Learn more anytime about the power of hypnosis and how easy it really is to find your happy, with the right tools, skillfully wielded.  Here:  http://www.mindworkshypnosis.net  I love my hypnosis & NLP client work here in the Greater Seattle area.  Your success, that’s what makes me happy.

Does Hypnosis Success Last? Here’s another Seattle Client Testimonial of Years Long Success.

Hi, Hypnosis Friends!

One of my favorite uses for hypnosis and NLP is helping people end fear.  I know what fear is like, as I had a severe spider phobia for decades myself.  Not anymore.  🙂  NLP took care of that little problem.  I only wish I had known about hypnosis and NLP long, long, ago, and I could have avoided years of discomfort.

So, here’s a question I’m often asked about my Greater Seattle hypnotherapy biz.  1) Does it really work?  Yes!  Check out the testimonials (over 160 at last count) on my webpage HERE!  The next popular question is 2) Does it last?  (It being success!)

The answer, again, is YES!  Here’s more evidence.  I got a lovely follow up note today from a Seattle area hypnosis client that I worked with years ago.  Yes, her success is still in place:

Renee Halley-Hauser, of the Seattle area, posted this on Linkedin:

“I and my daughter in law saw Connie for our fear of flying several years ago. It was a life changing experience. I fly at least once a month, something I would never have been able to do prior to being hypnotized.”

Yay, success!  Once the mind has recognized fear as being unnecessary and inappropriate, and chosen more resourceful feelings such as confidence and calm, why would it ever go back?  It wouldn’t.  It doesn’t.

If you’ve got a fear and would like NOT to have that fear, give me a call.  I’ll meet with you and tell you all about how this amazing methodology called “Neuro Linguistic Hypnotherapy” works.

All the Best,
Connie

Getting Creative with NLP

happy brain gets strong with hypnosis & NLP servicesHi, Hypnosis Friends!

Today’s entry is written by Michael Brannan, my partner in business and life!  This was part of a larger discussion on an international hypnosis and NLP Neuro Linguistic Programming forum board and I’m sharing it because it has so many wonder elements that explain the work we do.

The topic was breaking “addiction” via adopting a new state of mind–which Michael and I have been helping clients do successfully for years, whether that addiction was drugs, sugar, tobacco, gambling, pornography, etc.  Michael says:

“Certainly, these drugs can alter brain chemistry; but, in fact, your own body is far more capable of changing your brain chemistry faster and more effectively than a drug. Your brain chemistry changes every time you go from thinking a happy thought to thinking an unhappy thought.  Creativity is about going into the right state of mind.

Creativity is almost always the work of the unconscious mind. Insight, inspiration, innovative ways of looking at things are necessarily things that lie outside conscious control. We can, of course, consciously set the stage for the unconscious to engage in creative activity through conscious efforts at problem solving, game playing, looking at things from a different perspective, etc.

Even science is replete with anecdotes of discovery by something just popping into the mind from seemingly unrelated stimulus (witness the discovery of the double helix), or the use of imagination, witness Einstein imagining what it would be like to travel along with a light wave.

I know a hypnosis teacher who thought drugs were an answer to getting more creative faster. It’s not necessary. In a training I once attended, we did the “drug of choice” experiment–going into trance and reproducing the experience of having a drug. It’s safer, and legal, too!

What state do you want, and how can you tweak it to make it even more of what you want? Change your state and you will change your brain chemistry–no drugs needed.”

This is all true, and I agree with every word that Michael has written here.  Changing your thinking changes your body chemistry, hence the “Neuro” (neurology) in Neuro Linguistic Programming.  Any state of mind and body, including one of “addiction,” can be altered with these tools.  And frequently is, in my office, just about every day.  And when you change your brain chemistry (mood), you change your thinking, and also your behaviors. It’s all linked.

So, when a person feels stuck and says to himself or herself:  “I’m not this (creative), or I’m not this (analytical), or I’m not this (motivated), or I’m not this (powerful)”, well, the truth is, yes, you are!  And Michael and I have the tools to enact it.

Find out more about NLP here :  http://www.mindworkshypnosis.net  (the clinical work side of what we do as Neuro-Linguistic Hypnotherapists ®) and here:  http://www.seattlenlptraining.com (the career school side of what we do as Licensed Trainers of NLP ®).

All the Best,
Connie & Michael

Seattle Client Success: Hypnosis Ends Performance Anxiety

Hi, Hypnosis Friends!

Here’s another success story!  I love working with musicians, artists, and creative people of all kinds.  Recently, a Seattle professional musician became my client.  She came to me suffering with PERFORMANCE ANXIETY around her music–something she’d been fighting for years!  She had fear manifestations such as shaking hands, impaired breathing, racing heart, and a profound nervousness about “being judged” and a belief called “I’m not good enough.”

Since we’ve inserted confidence and calm in place of her fear, the truth is now revealed: she’s actually a fabulous musician and performer.  She’s better than good enough.

Here’s her report to me after Neuro-Linguistic Programming -NLP and hypnotherapy:

“Hi Connie, I am doing good… It’s nice I don’t get shaky hands anymore in performances since we met.  I’m in a much better place mentally to grow as a performer now!” — “Anonymous,” musician, Seattle, WA.

That’s right!  She’s somebody in the public eye, and she wants to keep our work to herself, hence “anonymous.”  And yet she’s allowing me to share her success.  I actually also got an email from a friend of hers remarking on the amazing changes SHE noticed.

“My friend saw you recently for performing anxiety. You should have heard her perform yesterday. . . . . BEAUTIFUL!! She says she feels completely different.”

If you get those performance jitters, whether it’s exams in school, or public speaking, or musical performance, sports performance, or anything, know this:  it can be different for you very quickly.  When you have the right tools, change is easy.  Neuro-Linguistic Hypnotherapy is “the right stuff.”

Call me anytime to learn more.  http://www.mindworkshypnosis.net for more info and my contact information.  My hypnotherapy office is in Bellevue, WA.

All the Best,
Connie
