Hi, Hypnosis Friends!
Performance anxiety is never a good thing in any setting: taking a test at school, playing your sport, giving a speech. But what a terrible state of affairs for an entertainer to have performance anxiety onstage.
Until they realize they don’t have to.
I was pleased to work with a professional singer recently, who reports that she is “thrilled with her progress!” after one session. Here’s her happy report:
“Hi, Connie,
You and I had a session to help me with my performance anxiety. I had my rehearsals for my current production, which in the past would cause me some distress. I am happy to say that I have good news to report, and I am thrilled with my progress!
Since my session, I have been feeling much more calm and positive in my chorus and solo singing. Furthermore, my ability to focus in high pressure situations has improved, thus resulting in the level of performance that I had always felt I was capable of achieving in practice, but what my anxiety would often hinder in performance.
I have sung a few times since our session, and these experiences have all been positive, so much that I feel myself rebuilding the foundation of trust and faith in myself that I thought I had lost forever. I want to thank you so much for your help. I had almost given up on the thing I love, but this has given my mind much needed peace.
I will continue to share my story with others, and if anyone expresses interest upon hearing it, I will be sure to refer your practice. Thank you again!” — J.M., Bothell, WA.
Yay, JM! You go, girl. What’s next? American Idol? 🙂 I can help with any dreams.
All the Best,
Connie
