Wishful Thinking vs Wish-Fulfill Thinking

Happy Trance
When Dreaming is Useful.

Hi, Hypnosis Friends!

Words are my work tool.  Words are power.  Words move us and matter.  I was thinking the other day about the phrase “Wishful Thinking.”  It has a negative connotation. If we’re dreaming about something we’d like someday that we don’t figure will manifest, we say: “Oh, that’s just wishful thinking.” We don’t expect success.  We don’t work for success.  And we don’t get success.

Hypnosis and NLP are absolutely NOT “wishful thinking” like that.  You know what they are?  WISH-FULFILL THINKING.  Wish fulfill.  As in, get what you’re wishing for.  People are so much more powerful to create success in their lives than they know.  I know. People are powerful, and when the mind is directed via focused positively-directed wish-fulfill thinking, success happens.

We do tend to get what we expect.  Expectation colors all, and reveals itself in what we do, how we act in the world.  Wishful thinking expects failure. So failure happens.  Wish-fulfill thinking expects success. Success happens.  Henry Ford is famous for expressing this same idea:  “If you think you can or you think you can’t, you’re right!”

How does this work?  The mind moves in the direction of its dominant thoughts, so when an outcome (such as successful weight loss, habit change around smoking, calmness instead of anxiety, etc.) becomes dominant, that’s what we do.  And how we live.  That’s what we create for ourselves in our lives.

Hypnosis and NLP Neuro Linguistic Programming are all about directing the mind to focus on what we want, not what we don’t want.  And we train the mind to have an expectation of success.  “Dream wantonly, and expect to succeed.”  This is wish-fullfill thinking.

As always, the proof is in the pudding.  Check out my client reports.  Directing your mind to success (in this UNconscious realm, outside of conscious interference, back behind the curtain in the mind as it were) works to create success.  Any success.

I offer private client sessions to help you direct your mind and create life successes.  Find out more in my free in person consultation.  I’m happy to meet with you.  I love to chat about what I do and how the mind works.  That’s why I named my business “Mindworks Hypnosis & NLP.”  Dump the wishful thinking, and find your power with unconscious wish-fulfill thinking.
