Change is Easy!

Change your direction any time, with Mindworks Hypnosis.

Hi, Seattle Hypnosis Friends!

The power of your mind is so incredible!  Here’s a quick and easy demo proving change is easy.

I invite you to check out this brief video. Is the train moving to the left into the tunnel, or to the right, emerging from if? What do you see? Cool!  Now, simply imagine that it’s moving in the opposite direction. And it does!!

Some people call this “freaky.” I call it: “control.”  We control our perceptions of the world with our mind.  And yes, it really is that easy to alter direction.  When your mind makes the leap, you see things in a new way.  And new seeing leads to new thoughts, and new beliefs, and new behaviors.  That’s the purpose of skilled hypnotherapy–assisting you in the new seeing.

I love these type of visual demos.  People start to “get it.”  That what happens between their ears is the real deal, and the real power.  If you’d like to see yourself or life in a new way, and live those changes, we can do that.  My hypnosis clinic services all the Greater Seattle area.  Call me anytime at (425) 564-8608 and we’ll get started!

All the Best,
Connie

The Mind is Flexible – Changes in Seeing

Hi, Hypnosis Friends!

It appears the internet today is fascinated with THIS dress:

What color is this dress?
What color is this dress?

Is it blue with black trim or white with gold trim?

When I first glanced at the picture the answer was obvious to me:  white and gold.  Then I read an article about the hubbub over the color.  I looked again at the pic, and lo and behold, I saw it as blue and black.  I can make it flip in my mind.  Right now it’s white and gold again.  🙂

What color do you see?

This is evidence of the power of the mind to create reality.  The dress is a thing.  It exists.  It has color properties.  However, we can see it in different ways.  Just so the situations and stories of our life.

Are we anxious or are we excited?  They feel similar in the body–it’s how we label them to ourselves that matters.  Is saying “NO!” stubbornness?  Or is it independence?  Is that little girl bossy, or is she showing leadership qualities?  We choose how we look at things.

Now, as I write this, looking up again, the dress is blue and black.  🙂  When I was a kid I loved optical illusions, I had books and books of them.  I still do love them.  They are not really illusions, however, they are mind choices in seeing.  And there’s always more than one option.

This “dressgate” situation reminds me of the spinning dancer phenomenon.  Is she twirling clockwise or counterclockwise?  Depending on which foot you see her as standing on, she spins the other direction.  It’s wild.  It’s the power of the mind to “see” differently.  Stare at her and see if you can get her to change.  I can!  🙂

Maybe the world and “reality” as we see it is not so rigid as we think.  And this is wonderful, actually.  It means we are in control and can change meanings as useful.

This is part and parcel of hypnosis & NLP.  It’s called “reframing.”  Seeing things in a new way that make us feel better, think better, choose better actions.

I can help you do that!

All the Best, Connie
