A Brief History of Hypnosis – The Key Players

Hi, Hypnosis Friends!

Have you ever been curious about how hypnosis came to be? I mean, who doesn’t love a little history lesson about something so cool and so little understood? 😏 Well,  we’ve just published a brief article on the history of hypnosis on our website, and we hope you can check it out.

From Egyptian sleep temples to Franz Mesmer who used magnets and “animal magnetism” to the innovators we follow today.  My work today at Mindworks Hypnosis & NLP draws heavily on Milton Erickson and indirect hypnosis (storytelling) and Dave Elman for my favorite induction (method of getting someone into hypnosis).  And of course, my number one tool is NLP, from the work of Bandler & Grinder.

If you’re interested, here’s a link to the article.
