Einstein had it right when he said:\u00a0 “Imagination\u00a0is more powerful than knowledge.”\u00a0\u00a0I absolutely agree.<\/p>\n“Imagination.”\u00a0 The other day I was driving and musing on words.\u00a0 Words are, and have always been, “my thing.”\u00a0 I love them!\u00a0 When I was very young I’d sit and read the dictionary for enjoyment.\u00a0\u00a0And, words are also the lifeblood of my career as a professional communicator.<\/p>\n
Hypnosis is communication, on the deepest levels of the heart and mind.\u00a0 \ud83d\ude42\u00a0\u00a0I was musing in particular on the word “imagination.”<\/p>\n
I was\u00a0remembering how that word was used disparagingly when I was growing up.\u00a0\u00a0“Well, she has QUITE an imagination, that one.” (She’s lying.) “It’s\u00a0only your imagination.” (You’re wrong.) “He’s imagining things again!” (How can we get him back on track?)\u00a0 When someone says:\u00a0 “It’s JUST your imagination!”, they’re using the word “just” as a minimizer.\u00a0 Expressing a lessening of value.\u00a0 Why minimize magnificence?\u00a0 In my book, imagination is absolutely essential to life and success.\u00a0 It is\u00a0something to be nurtured and appreciated, not treated as a problem.<\/p>\n

To any of you that have been in my office, perhaps you noticed the wood blocks on the wall:\u00a0 dream, imagine, relax.\u00a0 Of those 3, imagine is the most important!\u00a0 Why?\u00a0 In our world, what\u00a0we imagine successfully is what\u00a0we get. It’s integral to creation. Why would anyone want to stomp down on or minimize or belittle the ability to create?\u00a0 Hypnosis helps that act of creation to\u00a0flourish.<\/p>\n
How strange that imagine-ary means unreal when in truth imagine-ation makes things real.<\/p>\n
