A limiting belief is like a dead rat under the carpet.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Hi, Hypnosis Friends!<\/p>\n

What\u2019s a metaphor?\u00a0 It\u2019s a story with a meaning, on multiple levels.\u00a0 What\u2019s great about the unconscious mind is that it reads all meanings.<\/p>\n

I had a client come in the other day.\u00a0 She had a dead rat under the carpet.\u00a0 It reeked.\u00a0 So bad!\u00a0 The whole room had this unpleasant aura about it, and those who entered found it unpleasant and wanted to escape. She had tried vacuuming the carpet.\u00a0 And things would look somewhat nicer.\u00a0 But the dead rat would still be there. She had even tried shampooing the carpet.\u00a0 And things would smell a little fresher.\u00a0 For a while.\u00a0 But the rat would still be there.\u00a0 And all that reek would return.<\/p>\n

You might call it negative energy.\u00a0 Negative thinking.\u00a0 Self-critical, self-flagellating.\u00a0 Self-sabotage in business and relationships and personal goals. \u00a0\u00a0Failure after failure. \u00a0In short, and in her words: \u201cMy life is sh**.\u201d<\/p>\n

The dead rat was an idea in her mind, which I call a \u201climiting belief.\u201d\u00a0 A belief of \u201cI\u2019m unworthy\u201d was stinking up her life.\u00a0 How ridiculous.\u00a0 And how false.\u00a0 And how unnecessary.\u00a0 And no one forced that rat under the carpet and let it fester for a lifetime, she did that.\u00a0 By now it was very ripe and rancid.<\/p>\n

What needs doing?\u00a0 Remove the rat.<\/p>\n

So, we did.<\/p>\n

And now, her life is going to improve moment by moment, day by day.\u00a0 She\u2019s going to have a life of more joy, and success, and love, and power of all varieties.\u00a0 She doesn\u2019t know (yet) how big this change is for her.\u00a0 I know.<\/p>\n

Because I\u2019ve done this same work to remove limiting beliefs with multiple people before.\u00a0 A limiting belief is the \u201cbig bad\u201d in the mind, and once it\u2019s gone, so much positive energy flows into a life.\u00a0 And positive outcomes.<\/p>\n

\"Seattle<\/a>How do we do that?\u00a0 Remove a limiting belief?\u00a0 That\u2019s the power of skilled and creative NLP.\u00a0 We can change anything.\u00a0 My preferred method of making this happen is my creation, a trademarked service:\u00a0 Designer Beliefs\u00ae<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Other therapies out there want to find the rat\u2014which is good, but then they do nothing to remove it!\u00a0 Instead, they analyze, discuss and debate.\u00a0 Meanwhile, the stench remains.\u00a0 My way is quicker and more effective.\u00a0 We don\u2019t discuss a problem, we end it.\u00a0 That\u2019s NLP.<\/p>\n

As I\u2019m getting older here, I\u2019m becoming more and more aware:\u00a0 life is short.\u00a0 And it\u2019s meant to be an adventure of love, joy, fun, freedom, gratitude, laughter, and so on.\u00a0 Don\u2019t waste it.<\/div>\n
