Here’s another musing on hypnosis and the nature of personal changes.<\/p>\n

I was thinking about my dad this morning.\u00a0 He was very handy around the house, and could fix anything.\u00a0 He was a Lowes kind of guy–loved going in those home improvement and hardware type stores.\u00a0 As I was brushing my teeth this morning and staring at the water running in the sink, a vision from my childhood popped into my brain.<\/p>\n

I could see my dad, lying on the bathroom floor with a “snake” type cable\u00a0doing things to clear\u00a0obstructions in the drain and pipes in the bathtub and sink.\u00a0 He\u00a0fixed it!\u00a0 My dad was a wonderful problem solver.<\/p>\n

Last week I had poured Draino in my own bathroom sink, and today I noticed that yes, the drain is running faster.\u00a0 And that reminded me of hypnosis.<\/p>\n

Everything is a hypnotic metaphor.\u00a0 Everything.<\/p>\n

My clients always want to know this:\u00a0 how fast?\u00a0 How long will it take to achieve x change with hypnosis?\u00a0 It absolutely varies.\u00a0 Sometimes it’s instant!\u00a0 Like my dad and his Roto-Rooter type pipe snake clearing a clog instantly.\u00a0\u00a0 The brain says:\u00a0 “Oh, that blockage is unnecessary!\u00a0 Goodbye!”<\/p>\n

Sometimes change needs to work it’s way through the mind and body and habits, like Draino’s chemical reactions through pipes.\u00a0 You pour it in and you let it sit, and yet it’s working.\u00a0 Dissolving those clogs over time.\u00a0 Hypnotic suggestions keep “workin’ it” over time, as well.<\/p>\n

Brain and drain.\u00a0 Very similar words.\u00a0 Mere coincidence?\u00a0 \ud83d\ude42\u00a0 Bottom line, hypnosis is absolutely wonderful to flush troubles out of your life.\u00a0 The evidence is here:\u00a0 http:\/\/www.mindworkshypnosis.net<\/a>.<\/p>\n
