Hi, again, Hypno Friends!<\/p>\n

I found this pillow at Ross, and you know, I HAD to have it!\u00a0 It’s got that spiral design I like, which you may have noticed on my website as well.\u00a0 It’s an “old-time hypnosis” symbol.\u00a0 To me, it’s fun.\u00a0 I call it:\u00a0 Hypno-wheel.<\/div>\n

So, this is the Hypno-wheel Pillow, sitting on the Trance Chair, my leather recliner, in my office in Bellevue.\u00a0 It’s waiting for you!\u00a0 You don’t actually sit ON the pillow, I move it when we get down to\u00a0business, it’s really for “ambiance!”\u00a0 \ud83d\ude42\u00a0 The symbol also means “infinity.”<\/p>\n

And that makes great sense to me…as hypnosis is an ancient art.\u00a0 In the time of the Egytians, they had healing “sleep temples” where hypnosis was practiced.\u00a0 Hypnosis and healing, that connection has long been known.\u00a0\u00a0 Hypnosis has been written about by well-known psychologists of the 1800’s, including William James.\u00a0 In India in the 19th century, hypnosis was used on the battlefield to help with necessary amputations–without anesthesia, without pain.<\/p>\n

Hypnosis is not new.\u00a0 But, there’s a growing awareness and acceptance in the world for hypnosis as a mainstream healing art and science, which I find wonderful.\u00a0\u00a0 Holly-weird has done it’s best to create fear and a negative mystique surrounding hypnosis, but the truth has a way of coming out.\u00a0\u00a0 And the truth about hypnosis is wonderful.\u00a0 What it can do for a person, and the pleasant nature of the experience itself.<\/p>\n

Here are some actual\u00a0quotations from my clients upon emerging from trance and commenting on the experience:\u00a0 “That was delightful.”\u00a0 (Gene, Mercer Island)\u00a0 “Wow!!”\u00a0 (Monica, Bellevue, and\u00a0dozens and dozens\u00a0of others–this is the most common response)\u00a0 “Better than sex.”\u00a0 (Andy, Seattle)\u00a0\u00a0 “I loved it!”\u00a0 (Michael, Bellevue)\u00a0 “That was\u00a0amazing!”\u00a0 (Jennifer, Kirkland)…\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Some people are speechless, but the grateful smiles on their faces speak volumes.<\/p>\n

When you’re in trance, in hypnosis, you are connecting to the best part of yourself.\u00a0 That part of you\u00a0that wants success and fulfillment and thriving and good feelings!\u00a0 The part of you that can make those things reality.\u00a0<\/p>\n

So, what does trance feel like?\u00a0 In general, and for me personally, a\u00a0 sense of well-being permeates trance, and stress packs its bags.\u00a0 People do experience it differently.\u00a0 To some, it’s very very similar to their natural waking state.\u00a0 To some, it’s “otherworldly” and beyond words.\u00a0\u00a0Some people find their limbs turning so heavy, heavy relaxed, so comfortable that they don’t want to move.\u00a0 Some people feel light and floating, as though disconnected to their physical bodies.\u00a0 Some people feel warmth and tinglings.\u00a0 Some people get cold.\u00a0 (I also offer “the dream blanket” during trancework.)\u00a0 It has also been likened to those transitional moments before sleep.\u00a0<\/p>\n

We experience trance every day of our lives, doing everyday, just-living-our-lives things.\u00a0 Reading a book, playing on the computer, driving a car, daydreaming, watching television.\u00a0\u00a0 It’s nothing “woo-woo,” and it’s nothing bizarre.\u00a0 It’s just us, activating our minds in a specific, natural\u00a0way.\u00a0 What’s cool, what’s magical, is how we can use this “hypnosis state of mind” to create change in ourselves and in our lives.\u00a0 When you apply hypnosis, for a desired outcome, guided by a professional, that’s what is called hypnotherapy.\u00a0 That’s what I do.<\/p>\n
