Erase fear with NLP.<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n

It’s not been frequent, but I do work with children as well as adults.\u00a0 Children are VERY responsive to Neuro Linguistic Programming and hypnosis.\u00a0 I’ve worked with as young as six years old.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

What’s needed is an ability to focus\/engage\/play through the processes with me.\u00a0 I had a wonderful little 8-year old boy like that the other day.\u00a0 He came in with\u00a0a terror of elevators.\u00a0 Not just a fear.\u00a0 A wide-eyed terror.\u00a0 He had learned it.\u00a0 We proceeded to unlearn it.<\/p>\n

I did my thing with him,\u00a0Neuro Linguistic Programming, primarily.\u00a0 We created new feelings and new pictures and new sounds in his mind around elevators.\u00a0 Better ones.\u00a0 We did some hypnosis as well, with imagery to create security and a sense of well being.<\/p>\n

Success!<\/p>\n

I like to test my work, always.\u00a0 Immediately in the real world, when possible.\u00a0 My office building has a small elevator.\u00a0 (And smaller\u00a0elevators had been\u00a0even more terrifying to my client.)\u00a0 The boy, his mom, and\u00a0I rode the elevator that day.\u00a0 Suddenly, an elevator was an amusement ride, something FUN to do.\u00a0\u00a0He wanted to push the buttons.\u00a0 He rode down, he rode up.\u00a0 Feeling happy.\u00a0 Feeling good.\u00a0 “Mom,\u00a0let’s do it again!”\u00a0 We rode\u00a0down and up again.<\/p>\n

As they left my office I heard him saying to his mother, “I want to ride the elevator!!\u00a0 Can I push the buttons?”\u00a0 Fear is gone.<\/p>\n

A side personal note:\u00a0 I have relatives that are very very successful in the realm of retail stores.\u00a0 They sell pretty things to people who have a lot of money.\u00a0 That’s nice.\u00a0 By anyone’s standards looking at them, they are\u00a0success and wealth personified.\u00a0 One of those relatives made a comment yesterday suggesting that the work I do is insignificant.<\/p>\n

I think what I do is infinitely more important and more valuable.\u00a0 A little boy had fear.\u00a0 And now he doesn’t.\u00a0 I believe that\u00a0transformation is worth more than all the tea in China.<\/p>\n
