Hypnosis is as relaxing as Hawaii!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Aloha to my hypno-friends!\u00a0 Michael and I took a rare vacation last week to somewhere I had never been:\u00a0 Honululu, Hawaii.\u00a0 Magical.\u00a0 Lush.\u00a0 Hypnotic.\u00a0 Beautiful.\u00a0 Water, water everywhere!<\/p>\n

So relaxing!\u00a0\u00a0Sitting on the beach, feeling the warmth, hearing the waves, just relaxing.\u00a0 And, also in our case,\u00a0sitting in a hot tub overlooking the ocean, bubbling away all cares and worries.\u00a0 Deep relaxation.<\/p>\n

You know what’s cool about a vacation?\u00a0 You are accumulating experiences, wonderful states of mind and body that might be outside your\u00a0repertoire of day to day hectic life.\u00a0 And you know what else is cool?\u00a0 You have continuing access to those experiences any time you want them.\u00a0 And when you access them (that process has a fancy name:\u00a0 it’s called memory), you get to live them all over again in your neurology,\u00a0feel them all over again, in your body.\u00a0 Relaxed lives in my memory of the hot tub afternoon in Waikiki.\u00a0 Our minds and bodies are connected, really one cybernetic system.\u00a0 You think about\u00a0it, and you feel it.\u00a0 Automatically.\u00a0 Naturally.<\/p>\n

That is the truth, and it’s also useful.\u00a0 Because, with NLP and hypnosis, when you have a feeling you enjoy, you can capture it.\u00a0 Bottle it, as it were.\u00a0 And uncork that bottle at will, when it’s useful to have that feeling again.<\/p>\n

This is called “anchoring,” and it’s the bread and butter of NLP, and hypnosis.\u00a0 Finding useful states and bringing them into new situations where they help.\u00a0 Where they change things.\u00a0 Bringing calm into fear.\u00a0 Goodbye fear.\u00a0 Bringing energy into fatigue.\u00a0 Goodbye fatigue.\u00a0 Bringing creativity into stuck.\u00a0 Goodbye stuck.\u00a0 Bringing motivation into “I’ll do it later.”\u00a0 Goodbye procrastination.\u00a0 Bringing happy into depressed.\u00a0 Goodbye depressed.\u00a0 Sounds good, does it not?\u00a0 And it’s SO EASY.\u00a0 When the therapist has the artistry and skills to do the work well.\u00a0 I do.<\/p>\n
