Hi, Hypno Friends!<\/div>\n

The ducks love me.\u00a0 And, rightly so!\u00a0 \ud83d\ude42\u00a0 My office is in the most beautiful location, trees, water, fresh, green, lush, and…sinking.\u00a0 It’s a wetlands.\u00a0 And it’s wetter than usual.\u00a0 We’ve had some flooding.<\/p>\n

What used to be the tenant office parking area for my building is now part of a giant mud puddle, or as I call it, “the swamp.”\u00a0 While it’s harder for us humans to scrounge for parking spaces, the ducks and other wildlife love it!\u00a0 And the ducks love me.<\/p>\n

I feed them.\u00a0 Duckbread.<\/p>\n

Yesterday I was\u00a0\u00a0walking to my office by way of the swamp, and in it were\u00a07 tiny baby ducks, several adults and one “half-pint” sized duck.\u00a0\u00a0 I see them every day!\u00a0 Those are “my ducks.”\u00a0 \ud83d\ude42\u00a0 They were all hungry, apparently.\u00a0 I had\u00a0made a special\u00a0trip to the Orowheat bakery thrift store (again)\u00a0here in Bellevue to get a big package of bread for the ducks, and now…feasting time.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Duck frenzy.\u00a0 A happy frenzy.<\/p>\n

It is so cute to see those baby ducks eating.\u00a0 And the happy sounds!\u00a0 \ud83d\ude42\u00a0 One thing I’ve noticed about ducks, though, they stop eating when they’ve had enough.\u00a0 I’ll be tossing out the breadcrumbs and they’ll be scarfing them down, then suddenly they’re swimming away, totally disinterested.\u00a0 Done!\u00a0\u00a0Time to preen, time to sit in the sun.\u00a0 The rest of the bread gets picked up and whisked away by the giant crows that also live in the area.<\/p>\n

These ducks look VERY healthy.<\/p>\n
