Hi, Hypnosis Friends!
The difference between a hobby-ist hypnotist and professional is many fold. One difference is the commitment to offering a safe, private environment to do the work. A private office. Not a “shared by-the-hour, I’m-not-good-enough-to-afford-my-own-space, fly-by-night” office, a real office.
Mindworks Hypnosis & NLP has a charming office, filled with light and warmth and and color and beautiful pieces of artwork.
When I was first starting out in this work 10 years ago, one hypnotist advised me to have a sterile white room with no distractions as my hypnotism space. Another said: No, find a space that makes YOU feel good. Comfortable, happy. I chose the latter. My space brings me joy every time I enter it. And from a platform of joy, I know I do my best work.
Another hypnotist said to me: don’t spend money on nice furniture, buy something cheap and then throw a blanket over it. I rejected that idea instantly. No, I bought lovely quality things that offer a professional appearance as well as comfort–especially what I call “the trance chair, ” a leather recliner that I love, and my clients love.
I’m happy to share some colorful photos of my office, taken today. These are not ordinary photos, these have been “enhanced” with a prismatic eye.
My space is even prettier in person. It’s smack dab in the heart of the Bellefield Office Park, a greenbelt area of canals, bridges, walking paths, and buildings tucked into the trees. They call it a “woodsy walkup.” Very.
I’m proud of my office. I’d be happy to share the magic generated in this space anytime.
All the Best,
Connie
